The two drummers of the post Alan White era (thus far), but who do you reckon is the better? I think this is a very tough, and close, call. To me both definately have quality. Of course, Starkey has spent more time in the band than Sharrock and preformed brilliant on two albums however Chris for me has been an unsung hero in the recent tours and has not disappointed on two broadcast coverages. What made me fall in love with Starkey's drumming is the way he played them (i know this is a 'well duh' moment but hear me out). His hard hitting style meant only could he bring a solid beat to a song, he could also give it life. He could take the drum beats from White's songs and give them his own take, and for me never failed. Sharrock, on the other hand, is a more beat than sound. However, to come into a band as the fourth drummer is hard. As Noel recognised in an interview he has to drum songs in the style of McCarroll, White and Starkey. However, even not only a few months into his time with Oasis, Sharrocks been able to sound like he's been there from day one. He has preformed fantastically in such a short space of time. So, yeah, vote away . Here's video's from YouTube of the two drummers seperately drumming Cigarettes and Alcohol: Chris SharrockZak Starkey

i'm happy with either. i think sharrock is a better fit for the group. he has zak's power and energy while having whitey's vibe. zak is, though, one of the best drummers on the planet - the second coming of keith moon.

Sharrock is the better fit. Zak is amazing live and is one of the best drummers out there but Sharrock is also quite amazing but he fits better with the band.

I fucking hate Zak Starkey. Worst drummer Oasis have ever had. Sharrock, thus far, has not disappointed me in the slightest so far. Good work, my man!

Sharrock. That's not saying Zak was bad, he just didn't suit Oasis one bit.
