What about collecting all the places on the inet possible where we can vote for this song (Fuse TV, VH1, MTV etc.) to be played or hit lists etc. in this thread?

I know there aren't a lot of places yet, but in the next weeks there will be ;-) Wouldn't it be great that the band get the attention it deserves these days after the great "Dig Out Your Soul" album?

Just an idea...

Not that Im totally opposed to the idea... I'll vote for it a few times of course. But really... there's no point in spending an excessive amount of time voting for it. If people like it, it'll get airtime. If people don't like it, it wont get airtime.

Even if everyone on this forum voted 100 times for IOT on one of the websites... I doubt MTV or even VH1 would put it where it deserved. They'd prolly put it at no. 8, 9, or 10 on the top video countdown (even if it got enough votes to be placed higher) and then see how many votes the song gets the following week. The people who decide the playlists dont do it solely on the number votes alone... they know that some people will vote hundreds of times for the same artist, which kinda falsifies the results a bit. They take into account how well the song had done the previous week, how popular the artist is at the time, how much radio play the song is receiving, as well as other factors.

They're not gonna put it at no. 1 right away, even if it gets that amount of votes. All we have to do is vote for it enough to place it within the top 10... and hope that the general public likes the song enough to place it higher.
