I know Oasis are notorious for hating Blur, but that doesn't mean our Oasis fans have to be.
I do have Blur's greatest hits, and some are pretty decent. I also have Pulp's Different Class album....so I don't have eithers full work, but basing off of what I have I have to say I think Pulp are the better of the two - Cocker's lyrics are much smarter.
Disco 2000 and Common People are genius.
Blur and Pulp are very similar pop groups in sound, but Pulp is just smarter, while Blur is more silly-pop, if you will....

I'd have a hard time calling a song like Tender "silly pop". My vote goes to Blur.

Pulp, SOLELY on the basis of the fact that Jarvis Cocker is an excellent singer and decent lyricist. Overall, Pulp are sort of crap and Blur are ludicrously, unbelievably, not-humanly-possible-y crap.

I don't know who is more dumb but Albarn is a complete See You Next Tuesday, I'd love to slap him, more than just once as well

Pulp were always a bit more real really, as great as Blur were. Albarn is probably the more talented out of him and Jarvis Cocker but Pulp were just the better band. More to them I guess

Plup (and I only really like Common People and Disco 2000). I can't stand Blur.

Pulp. But it's funny cos I think both bands best record came just after britpop "ended".
