I have two negative points concerning this tune -
1.) Production
Noel has said in a few interviews that he wants it to seem like the song was recorded from outer-space, so this may be intended. However, I feel that the sound is a bit, I don't know, hollow? (Hollow isn't the right word since Falling Down is a wall of a sound), but I'm sure you know what I mean - it could sound a bit fuller, if you will.
2.) The second time Noel sings the chorus
The sound should increase in pitch even more than it does - it feels slightly underwhelming, and if they raised the sound at that point further (kinda like what Coldplay does well) it would make it sound like a truly epic segment. --
don't get me wrong, this song is brilliant - 10/10 even, and lyrically genius. But if I had to make 2 criticisms about it, those are what I would complain about. But let's be honest, I'm being picky here lol....

Just to point out that it isnt meant to sound like it was recorded from outter space, but he said that the guy "singing it should be a lost in space kinda geezer".

Yeah true, still agree with you though. Top tune, 2nd chorus should have been made into more of a climax, as opposed as how it was done. Gotta love when Noel goes: "If you won't save me, please don't waste my time" Epic lyric

This is what Radiohead fans do ; stroking their breads and looking for minute faults What is "stroking your bread" ? Sounds like a personal problem.

Yeah, I noticed that the second chorus should have been done with an aditional voice with an octave higher.
Don't get me wrong the song is mega, one of my favorites and I absolutely love the part when the second chorus end and the string melody kicks in

Yeah, I was thinking today that it is a bit busy, if you know what I mean. I agree with you, even though I still love the song. I think it'll sound even better live.

The busy-ness of it is perfect. Last Friday it was raining cold, cold water, I was feeling a bit down and people were rushing by me in a downtown Friday rush-hour kind of mood... and Falling Down fitted just perfectly. Top stuff!
