i was really looking forward to tonights live wembley gig cos the last time they were on mainstream tv live it was the brit awards and liam was terrible then! but after hearing a few clips from the recent live shows i thought liam would show everyone tonight that is voice is back with a bang! sadly tonight liam brought his shouting voice with him and for me he let himself and the band down badly! after hearing shows from the last few weeks i know he is still more than capable...... i just wish he could have pulled it out the bag tonight to let the audience sat at home know that oasis are back with a bang! i thought the rest of the band, who were on fine form, looked pissed off and embarrassed at liams shocking vocals! they looked so uncomfortable and miserable on stage tonight. i hate it when liam shouts instead of sings! he was pulling away from the mic tonight without finishing the words to each line! i bet noel was fucking furious! he looked sooo pissed off all through the set! there were a few (only a few!) songs that liam was okay at- morning glory being one of them. but i think if liam watches himself tonight he will be embarrassed at his performance. he looked like he was out for a fucking fight rather than sing! and dont get me wrong, i like all the snarl factor ect. but i dont just wanna see him walk on stage and start shouting words at me- i wanna see him SING like i know he can! all those nobheads on here who are gonna reply and say he was on top form tonight can go and fuck themselves- i love oasis more than anyone but i am not stupid and tonight liam was crap!

i havent posted on here for about 2 years, i've seen oasis over 20 times live, right back to 94. i sat and watched that tonight, and i agree with you , it was shit, the band didnt look interested at all, althought thats partly due to the shit london crowds. i think i'll stick my belfast tickets on ebay. the setlist needs changed in a major way and that is down to the fact that the new album is simply crap. the songs are not up to standard. i am a huge fan and have listened to this new album every day since it leaked and still can not get into it at all.only 2 songs worth listening to are bag it up and tsotl, the rest is in my opinion is rubbish and i think that showed tonight.
anyway , i needed to get that off my chest and i'll fuck off now (for a long time)
oasis are gonna look so shit when the worst band in britain( keane) takes the number1 album slot this weekend

Wow mate thats an interesting comment. I was going to download and listen to this concert (in fact i was really looking forward to it) but after this, i def won't be. I thought Liam had sorted his voice, obviously not. Thanks for ur comment

I agree that they seem extremely bored and uninspried on stage. And with the questionable setlist I've chosen not to see them this time round.

I agree there are problems with Liam's voice and the pacing of the setlist but to say that it has something to do with the new album being crap is ridiculous. It's not. BIU, TT, TSOTL, IOT and FD would fit on any Oasis setlist, just a question of putting them in the right place and playing/singing them properly. WFTR and TBWTL sound great live too. This is the closest Oasis have sounded to DM for ages. Dark, menacing and loud. I honestly can't understand how an Oasis fan could think this album is crap. Unless you want an album of pop songs, in which case you'd be better off looking to another band. Not sure what Keane have got to do with it. Since when have chart positions had anything to do with anything?

Sorry about that Bsf. What I was trying to do is put a box around your post(dont know how) and say your post is spot on! It is hard for me(apart from agn and maybe NOR) to understand how true hardcore fans are so strongly against this album? Especially BIU and The Turning?
As For Wembly, Liam did sound lousy on Im outta time relative to what we have heard from the other shows( he was not miming at the other shows if you watch closely) but he didnt sound that bad on the rest?
It is to bad that they decided to do this after a run of several shows back to back as he clearly doesnt have the vocal strength to pull off back to back shows the way he used to and needs more than a days rest in between. It is to bad they didnt capture the first night of Sheffield as he seemed to be really on that night.

even though i thought the wembley gig was crap due to liam and his shouting voice i think the new album is very good. i was particulary looking forward to i'm outta time at wembley gig cos liam has been nailing this one live but sadly it just didnt happen! i wonder whether he had a bit too much of the white stuff before the wembley gig?? knowing it was gonna be telivised i think he over did the hard guy act. its almost as if he thinks people are gonna think hes soft if he actually SINGS rather than shouts!!he was just shouting his words with his face screwed up like he was up for a fight all night! did anyone notice noel kept shaking his head?? even andy and gem looked pissed off!! musically the rest of the band are always on top form and the new drummer sounded really good aswell. i loved the masterplan- i'm glad they include this in their new set list. i know i have been harsh on liam but i actually think hes fantastic and when hes on form hes the best around. i just wish he'd stop letting himself down and stopped shouting his words! it would be a lot easier on his voice too- it would be a lot easier to sing for 2 hours a night than stand there screaming and shouting!

well, when I saw them 6 or 7 weeks ago it was BRILLIANT! Liam sounded amazing. I don't know what happened at Wembley but it's really unfortunate..... I need to listen to it first
