Are they the new shirts on the official website? It's the plain white one with the original logo on the chest.

i got an email back from them. here's what it says. a bit of intimidation in there...
Dear Oasis Fan,
Thanks so much for checking out the new Oasis tracks. We were really happy to share this with you and give you the opportunity to win a free Oasis t-shirt. Unfortunately, a technical glitch occurred and we had to make some changes to the game. If you came to the site, listened to the songs and were issued a code legitimately, we will be in touch with you about getting your shirt (one per customer). If you redeemed multiple codes or obtained your code from a place other than the Oasis Widget Game, you will be hearing from us, as well. Sincerely, Warner Bros Records Online Customer Support

At least you got that much, NYR. I emailed them and haven't heard anything yet. They've got to fire the whole bunch of people working their online end of things - first the digital release mess, now this.
What email address is everyone using? I just hit reply to the "You've won an Oasis Shirt!" email, but that's not the same as the customer service address I used for that digital release business.

i use warner brothers' oasis customer service email: wbr@b3custserv.com. i wrote a response to their letter, and here 'tis.
To whom it may concern,
I appreciate your response. A free t-shirt is enticing, but I have not received any further information concerning how to redeem it. When will I receive this info?
One more thing. I only obtained one code. Intimidating customers isn't the right way to do business, especially the ones who own all of Oasis' CDs, singles (including the imports, some of which are easily over a decade old at this point) and go out and buy a box set for over $100 through Warner Bros.' online store. It's just not right.

HA! i did the exact same thing because i simply didn't like the "tone" that email had. although i sent it to a different address(not this one nor the first one) let's see what happens.

Thoroughly confused here......what exactly do I have to do to get the T-shirt? Do I have to download the digital version of the album?

The link now says "All prizes have been claimed. Thanks for listening!"
Eh. I'm glad I got my shirt (hope it actually gets to me) but that's kinda cheap. T shirts double as advertising, so I can put together they wanted to give them out to the fans who would be serious enough about Oasis to know about this right away and thus be more likely to go out wearing them, and then run out of supplies before they got to people who just wanted another shirt in their closet to wear once in a while. But only having a couple days worth of supplies is stupid IMO.
LOL @ all the comments on the widget page that are complaining about the American fans getting all the breaks (riiiiiight) or say they hate Oasis now when it's obviously Warner Bros. that are doing this.

I never got a response at the first email addy I tried, so I just fired off another one to the one NYR used. I might have been a little curt, but it's all pretty messed up so I think it's justifiable. Hopefully I can at least get some further confirmation that there might be some replacement codes dealt out.
Update (10/22/08): Today I received a form email from the WB support people that's slightly different than the one NYR got. Still no word on how soon they're going to rectify the problem, though.

i just emailed them again today and this is what I got back:

So nothing really new yet.

I wonder what happened that's making them repeat over and over this bit about being legitimate customers. Is it just simply a bad attitude, or did someone find a way to exploit the glitch that they keep referring to? Wouldn't surprise me if some asshat found a way to get an huge/unlimited number of shirts, hacked it for all it was worth, and hoped to sell the shirts for profit. It would explain why they ran out of shirts in the blink of an eye, too.
Dunno why it's taking so long to send out the new emails either. Either their plan to fix the situation is still in the abstract phase or they're bullshitting for time.
Sidebar: Firefox doesn't give me the evil red line under "bullshitting." This amuses me.
