Heaton Park is the only venue they haven't played in Manchester that could accomodate 50'000 fans each day. Oasis seem to play a different Manchester venue on every tour. The only unsual venue would be Man United Old Trafford. I can't see Man Utd letting 50'000 people on their pitch. And besides the stadium would probably get vandalised with City fans. Only other Manchester venue i can think of where they haven't played is the Bridgewater Hall.

How about the square in the middle of manchester, the one that the rangers fans ransacked watching the UEFA final?

old trafford wouldn't happen. neither would piccadilly gardens as that's just stupid. that is THE centre of manchester, right in the middle of all the bus/train stations. it would bring manchester to a halt.
heaton park's a reasonable place. the place is huge.
i'd love for them to do a few shows at manchester academy or something, as that's tiny in comparison to arenas. it would definitely be a surprise and unexpected (and it's very unlikely), but so good.

Well, from the rumors, I've heard that it's supposed to be a super gig. Let's face it, 50 K is not a super gig to Oasis. Back in '05, they played three times that number! Have anyone thought about a 100 K + gig? Or would'nt Oasis manage to pull it off?

They can 100k for FIVEFUCKIN NIGHTS in the Uk and it will SELL-OUT within hours...I cant be in minutes cos the phone lines'll jamm up for the HIGH fuckin demand!..'nough said.

doubt old trafford. haha, how about a city centre open to the world kinda thing. get like a massive open part of the city and jam it full of people or would that be a bad idea, plan B would have to be in the man city car park if we are looking for a change of venue.

80/100k in Old Trafford NO... its a 70k seater stadium even with the pitch standing you wont get that much... Take Wembley for instance only 60k capacity is a sold out gig in there and that's a 90k! so my guess is about 40 - 50k for Old Trafford Oasis need somewhere bigger.... much bigger........ could always do knebworth again this time for 4 nights to get back at robbie. haha!

Even if you lose the West Stand for the stage, you're still looking at putting a minimum of 10-15,000 people on the pitch. The City Of Manchester Stadium's capacity actually increased by 12,000 for Oasis' concerts in 2005; in that case I'd suggest 80,000 plus is a very reasonable estimate. And I've no idea where you're conjuring your Wembley figure from. Oh, and sword - Old Trafford hosts concerts, alright. Bruce Springsteen played there not five months ago. Don't rule it out.

It might be a rural venue out in the country. There are plenty of national parks in the Cheshire area. I saw the Charlatans play Delamere Forest last year. Now that is a good venue.
The Stone Roses played Spike Island in 1990. A bit of a shit veune, but it's very famous.
