I've just got back from liverpool, it was fucking fantastic and i'd say it's easily one of the best gigs i've been to and defo the best oasis gig i've seen (seen them 5 times now) liam's voice was great and just to clear things up, they played i'm outta time not soldier on. Highlights for me were slide awy, waiting for the rapture, falling down sounded fucking really good but an electric version of don't look back in anger would've been better (not complaining tho it was still great.) The 2 biggest highlights were i am the walrus and my big mouth. My big mouth was mega and i was going nuts (although no one around me were even singing the words as if to say 'what the fuck's this?') Fuckin pricks. I was about 10 rows from the front in a direct line with liam, fucking great gig and the crowd was fucking mad as fuck gettin thrown around all over the gaffer but thankfully i didn't fall over (but nearly did on 2 occasions) FUCKING GREAT SHOW ALL IN ALL and people are in for a treat for the upcoming shows, i just wish i was going 2moro night now as well. Oh yeah if any of you are wondering, touts were selling tickets for 150 quid outside!!! i managed to get mine for face value thank christ!!

Same here mate That's exactly where i was, was just swaying everywhere, could barely stand on my own feet. Liam sounded completely different than 4/5 years ago, the whole gig was exceptional. slide away was unelievable.

what were the hightlights for u scouse? any low lights? Low light was why the fuck did they not play Live forever. High lights were Liams voice and ability. Seems a totally different vocallist from 4/5 years ago. Loved ever minute of it, even the warm piss soaking my brand new Tshirt

Was at the first night, it was quality.
I went with a lady friend of mine who isn't really an Oasis fan. She likes the well known songs (Don't Look Back in Anger, Lyla, Champagne Supernova, etc) but hadn't heard any of the newer stuff and had only heard the likes of Slide Away and Cigarettes and Alcohol from me playing them. She's into McFly and shite like that.
She hasn't stopped telling me how brilliant it was and how she now loves Oasis and will be buying (downloading) the back catalogue which I think is a measure of how good they were.
Highlights:
Ricky Hatton - we were right at the back so I couldn't really see who it was when he first walked out and was waiting for the This is not a drill bit. You could tell people were in shock when they clicked on who it was and it set the tone for the rest of the night
I'm Outta Time - I know some aren't impressed with the "If I'm to fall" taped bit, but honestly, Liam totally nailed it. It sounded excellent live, not just the vocals but the whole band played it really well.
Don't Look Back in Anger - Again I know many don't like the acoustic version, I personally prefer the electric version, but it really fitted
Waiting for the Rapture - I think the album version is canny, but guitars are alot heavier live and Noel's vocals were spot on
Only lowlights I can think of are To Be Where There's Life and Ain't Got Nothing, they are much of a muchness in the same way I thought A Bell Will Ring and Love Like a Bomb were in 2005.
This was the second time I've seen them, the first being the City of Manchester three years ago. It was much more enjoyable this time as I think there were a lot more genuine fans there rather than tossers chucking pints of piss about and cokeheads acting themselves. Suppose that's the difference between arena and stadium gigs though.
Got a few vids, you can't really see much but the audio is spot on. Won't be able to upload til the weekend at the earliest though.

[glow=red,2,300] WTF???[/glow] this is bc of his voice? This better no escalate to some Ashley Simpson lipsynch crap! Can you please explain more on this "taped bit"? In the studio version of I'm Outta Time the last "If I'm to fall" cuts in straight after the last line ("That's where we belong"). For the live version he sings "That's where we belong" then the next "If I'm to fall" is a recording as it would be nigh on impossible to sing both lines together. Liam joins back in at "fall" and sings the rest. It's only half a line in the entire song but there were a few posts on here criticising him for it.

Who criticised him? How can he sing two lines at once?
