Since The Hindu Times we always get a dvd with the single's demo, HC and DBTT follow that path, which lead me to the question... where is TSOTL demo

The album version is basically the demo according to Noel. Who knows when it will come out.

The album version is the very first take of the song, so there's no demo

No recording with Noel's voice? No early version of the drum solo? sorry, I pretty much doubt that, songs like that don't come out in the first record attempt

In the Q interview, I'm sure it's Gem said "Noel did a one man job on it, sang it, played the drums etc and bought it up to record." something along those lines.

Do u think it will be a new trend?? a-side / remix for bside and thats it??
if so, is it because the band are lazy??? or because of the current shape of the singles charts?? or because of the bonus disc for DOYS? (so in other words, if there was no bonus disc would we would assume the bsides would be new??)
i know a remix isnt new but it would be semi appealing if it wasnt on the bonus disc... not anywhere near as appealing as getting a new track.. but i think u see what im getting at...
your thoughts?

I'd go with all of the above.

I dont think it has to do with laziness. Oasis havent put much thought into their b-sides since probably the HC era IMO in terms of quality. DBTT was essentially throwaway tunes for the most part. It is almost entirely due to the shift of the singles market from physical to digital IMO. Very few bands are using the b-side to release brand new material these days. I think their attempt w/ the box set is to give everything that they're planning on releasing this cycle in one go. The songs that are on the bonus disc IMO will be comprising the b-sides. This is just a different way of doing things now because of the box set. I also think that we will be back to 2 b-sides with the next single. I think TSOTL only had one because it was a remix by the Chemical Brothers who are well known and it gives the remix a bit more a punch to leave it as the only b-side, where another song could dilute the single and take away from that punch. If this holds correct and theres 3 more singles, with 5 songs on the bonus disc not yet released outside of the box set acting as b-sides, we will get maybe 1 new song outside of the box set, as I dont think LDSMD will be used as a b-side. I think (in regards to the original post) that we ARE getting demos this go around, at least two of them. Waiting for the Rapture alt version #4 and The Turning alt version #2, both scream "demo" to me. As well, it should be noted that all the demos in the past werent exactly demos. Songbird demo was essentially an alternate version and could've been released as it was. Hell, the TIOBI demo was recorded after the album version and is simply just an acoustic version.

^Couldn't agree more. Just about hit the nail on head there but I do hope we see a couple of new songs other than that of the bonus disc.
