Well I just logged into myspace.com/oasis today what can I say it is just a madhouse of expectations wheeling around in my sternum.
1. Bag it Up A great ballad-type song with some real machismo and some lyrics that just tell you to get the hell away from a great man like Noel! I love it and it makes me feel empowered.
2. The Turning Great writing and an excellent use of an E-F chord composition with good drum synthesizer work. Original lyrics that i just love.
3. Waiting for the Rapture A great retro 70's feel and a disco melody make this song about a breakup with a hooker a real masterpiece.
4. The Shock of the lightning More like shockingly good! Noel in this song really shows us what he means when he sings about sadness and I am told he worked with Ringo Starr on this song.
5. Im Outta Time. A great tune that borrows from Joni Mitchell and Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young. In this song Andy Bell stars with his soaring guitar.
6. Get OFF Your High Horse, Lady This song is a powerful anti-psychiatry rant that hints at Noel's Scientological beliefs. An all time classic which is single material.
7. Falling Down I feel like falling down after hearing this great song! A song that echos U2 in its excellent synthesizer use and innovative drum sequence.
8. To Be Where There's Life A song about Gem's relationship with his mother, clearly a stony relationship, this is a great tune and George Harrison will in no way be turning in his grave after it is released.
9. Ain't Got Nothing A difficult, sarcastic song, this was a great choice to add to the album too!
10. The Nature of Reality This song is a painful, personal reflection on Andy's relationship to the city of London, mirroring the Beatles' famous Helter Skelter.
11. Soldier On Everyone says this song is the best and it is! It is an amazing tune about a murder and a ghost that swears it will not give up.
All in all I rate this album **** 1/2 out of 5 stars. It is just incredible and if I had to give it a letter grade it would be an A- and the only album to ever get an A in my book is Heathen Chemistry.

Yes, this is the review I've been waiting for. I haven't been able to form an opinion on Dig Out Your Soul, until now that is!

haha. This review is making me die laughing. Obviously he is being sarcastic. Some of the shit he said about the song's meanings are so random. And I liked the one about AGN being 'difficult.' I'm average on guitar at best and I literally tuned my guitar to D and figured it out in two seconds.
And then after he praises it, he gives the album 1/2 out of 5 stars. And an A-, which doesn't make sense. And then he said it was almost an A, but HC remains his only A; HC being arguably their worst album. haha . . .

i didnt know noel was a scientologist :0 How could you not know that, everybody knows that Noel is all about aliens and lost souls. And that he pays lots of money to the church of Scientology and was almost killed by an ex-scientologist at the Toronto gig. How could you not know that?

Ennex is confused as there's good points and seemingly stupid ones as well...since when is aint' got nothing sarcastic...last time i checked itsa bout not having anything?
Scientology...the day noel goes Tom Cruze on us is the day the almighty american george bush will provide a stategically sound battleplan...it's obviously NOT going to happen.
