Sorry for multiple threads on DOYS, but I really love this album. (ok mods no more I love DOYS threads I promise_
Listening to I'm Outta Time just now on my iphone-ahh.
One of the great, truly great oasis songs they have ever done I think.
Makes my cry, sorry but good oasis songs do that- My wife (to proove I'm a hetro sexual male !) says its "lovely". ( apprently John Peel would weep when he heard a great song and would have to pull over his car whilst he was listening to a particularly good demo tape-so I'm in good company!)
SCYHO and the other ballady oasis songs sound contrived in comparison to this almost trying to force emotion out.
Should be a new Wonderwall type hit.
This album has so many TRUE oasis songs, you would only maybe find one on some of their earlier albums like Fade in / Fade Out, Gas Panic umm can't think of any others.
No other group has this effect on me but the magic is back.
What a stupendous album, ahh blissfull.

it didn't live up to the hype (oasis fan's hype) for one reason:
- it wasn't that song we all heard on the Lyla DVD (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_aR3BVo3nXg) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PPZp-WjlxMY)

No I stand by what I said, I just love Outta Time and my wife said (begrudingly) that its good too.
For me its as good as wonderwall and should be a huge single
It doesn't sound cheesy like LTBL or SCYHO and when Lennons voice comes in it just gets me.
I love DOYS, for me anyway there is no dud track on it and OK you won't believe me and think I'm being carried away by the euphoria but I honestly think its as good as ANY album they have released.
This is a classic classic album, as good as ANYONE has ever done.
I love all the tracks, I honestly can't fault it.
If you look back on my posts over the years (and I was ino oasis from the very very beggining in the UK before DM was released) I have harshly critisised the band for the last few albums which were mediocre at best. So I'm not one of those die hard fans who thinks everything they released is the greatest ever.
This is brilliant, already one of my favourite albums of all time, really.
Its made me realise why I kept the faith for 10 years

Sounds like a Lennon parody. Dirge.

It sounds fuck all like Julia or Dear Prudence. I can see Jealous Guy, mostly cos of the similar production.
