How in the world would Oasis be a threat to Jennifer Hudson or even Nickelback?! (see your first post) They have different audiences! It's not like they're releasing the same day as the Foo Fighters or Green Day for example! Now I don't know why it's not released on Itunes US whereas Falling Down is available... But I'm sure it's not a "conspiracy". Warner's done a lot in terms of original promotion for Oasis in the US (all the bands covering the new songs in NYC for example!) just throwing it out there that Nickelbacks new song FUCKIN SUCKS.

Maybe they're holding back for a reason, you know, Noel isn't doing too well at the moment and they want to wait until he feels better? Who knows, maybe we'll get an iTunes ad in the work, that'd be AWESOME. Amazon currently has the import single out of stock, so that's a pretty good sign. Don't worry, maybe they're trying to make sure it gets a good position on the chart, besides, there wasn't really any official date for the release in the US, be patient.

hhhmmm, well it also must be a conspiracy for the new Chris Cornell singles to only be available in the US digital music sites and not the UK ones. I say we fucking attack Apple, Rhapsody and Amazon headquarters! You're becoming a communist?!

Apple is a very meaty guy, he can get anyone to the top, Napster is easy to game out of their profits since they're DRM based "to go", Rhapsody sells hardly anything compared to iTunes.

again, people like you is what makes bands disappear, they don't care about how their favorite artist do in what concerns the "music industry" and that includes sales, promotion, etc... If a band doesn't sale good enough, sooner or later they'll call it quits. you know what those people are called? -Idiots!

Why does Oasis have to be huge in the U.S. anyways? They still roll in the dough and could probably give a rats ### about hitting it big in America at this stage in their career. I was pretty bummed that the single wasn't on iTunes though cause I was going to buy it. Becoming big ruins a band in my opinion.

You have to realize the industry though and who are buying the records today: (1) Parents buying it for their kids, (2) People that watch reality TV (3) and the people that have to have everything that's playing on their local radio station. I have seen parents on iTunes complain about music because of it being Explicit and having no indication (American Boy), they buy music that they can listen to with their kids, it's one of the reasons why Disney has a good hold in the industry with their acts. American Idol is a huge phenomenon and whoever gets on there ends up being a pretty big seller, the songs played on the Oc, The Hills, etc also bring in money. There are also people that just have to have every song on the radio because it's on the radio.
And I can see the frustration that people are having from this, being a fan of a band that no one else around you likes is like "Oh, well, you're weird/stupid/gay/etc." That's just how it is here, and there's nothing you can do about it. There are people who won't give them a chance just because they're not "popular" and their local DJs aren't bugging them by calling them everyday on the phone. Even my parents think I'm weird for liking them, and I know that if they went to number one, I'd be the coolest person on my block for a month.

Almost all of my friends refuse to give them a chance, just because I like them so much. Then again, my friends have a closed minded taste in music, they love everything that my older brother's friends like. I personally think that's odd behavior for 16 & 17 year olds to be worshiping 18 & 19 year olds. But whatever, they are missing out because they're assholes.
Oh, and my dad thinks I'm weird for liking Oasis

Your parents think you're weird for listening to them They're the weird ones ;D (no offense!) Do they think you should be listening to Demi Lovato? Yes, they actually do think that. The funny thing is that one day I brought my Stop The Clocks CD to listen to in the car on the way to school with my dad (30 minute drive) and when Champagne Supernova came on and Liam starts singing, and my dad probably though, hmm, well, she's not changing the CD and starts going "Where were you while we were getting highhh?" He didn't like the rest of the CD though. And then, because I take my MacBook Pro downstairs and play my music, my mum's started singing "You're lazyyy!", "You're crazyyy" when The Importance Of Being Idle comes on my playlist. Slowly, I'm turning them into fans.
