Aint Got Nothing - I still have the tendancy to skip it, but that's mainly due to my memory of the demo. They cleaned up the song very nicely - making Liam's voice much better and adding backing vocals. After giving in a chance, it's not really a bad song. I do like MOS from DBTT - it's a great song to play when pissed off, and while AGN doesnt have that anger feel to it, it still sounds decent. The latter part with the semi-guitar solo is really nice. So, while not lyrically the best, it sounds ok not to skip it, and is better than some tunes on DBTT (MF, for example, great lyrics, good live, but album version is just too boring - until the ending drum solo). Rating: 7/10 The Nature of Reality:This is the biggest grower on the album. I fucking hated it on first listen, and proclaimed it was the worst song on the album. It's just so....different....but in a kinda good way. The guitar solo is really kickass in it. Furthermore, I dislike ABWR from DBTT - the "goals" lyric is preachy and cringeworthy, and the ending "it's all mine" is SO borring - and yes, I realize ABWR has it's fans. But ANOR is much much much more enjoyable. After my first listen, I was pissed off that Andy kept writing these bad tunes (bar KTDA), but now I thank him for this effort. Rating: 7.5/10 Soldier On -Yes, I realize I gave it an '8' on my first album review, but I was typing that as I listened to it, and the beginning did sound very solid and good.....but it jsut doesn't go anyway. So after that listen I gave it a 6/10. Will this song follow the grower trend? Perhaps. But not right now. It's my least listened to song so I'll have to give it more time. It's not a bad song by any means, but currently I find it on the boring side, it doesnt go anywhere. It just seems unfinished, which is a shame because it sounds good, has solid lyrics, and good vocals. I do dig the echo vocals though. And I do like it a little more than last week, so it'll get a slight rating bump Rating: 6.5------------------------------------ The only real other potential grower on the album is GOYHHL. Yeah, it's not within the last 3, hence the dividing line. Deal with it Get off Your High Horse Lady -For me, this song was pretty much immediate. But I can see why some wouldnt like it. In fact, it's a song I'm really trying to hate but can't lol. Seriously, as I said in my thread devoted to this track, it really should be a bad song. The lyrics are pretty daft, although not 100% horrible, but lets be honest "Get off your high horse lady, I dont need a ride tonight" is just silly. Plus, it sounds a bit "too western" for a rock band, it's repetitive and the walking on gravel part at the end is cheesy. BUT this track has amazing vocals from Noel "Lay/Rain Down" vox is just amazing. Love when the drums and bass kick in too about a third of the way into the track. It's strangely hypnotic this track. Is it as good as or better than Columbia? Of course not! Is it as good as ICSIN? Debatable (I say no, I love ICSIN).....while we're continuing this trend: Is it better than Quick Peep? YOU BETCHA. AQP is such a wasted filler track, and I feared GOYHHL would be likewise. It's not. What it is, though, is a very good track. Rating: 8/10 (or 8.5/10 depending on my mood)----------------------- As for the other 8 songs, they are as immediate as they come. Bag It Up is a great opener, The Turning has caught all our attention, as has I'm Outta Time. And TBWTIL has such a heavy fantastic groove to it, the bass is mint! And WFTR hits you hard with the guitar segments, but before that you're stunned by Noel's vocals! But let's not forget Falling Down and TSOTL either - the former being a very chilled tune with great lyrics, the latter being Oasis are their BHN-like best! ------------------------ This album as a whole shits over the last 3 - HC, SOTSOG, andDBTT. And I really love DBTT too! But the production, the song writing, the lack of real weak tracks (MF, ABWR, FON, HIABP, AQP, LJ, PYMWYMI, ICSAL ) and just edges out BHN for me - due to it being more focused, although BHN is still more fun to play due to the obnoxious guitar solos. Great album. 4.5/5

Ain't Got Nothing is the only average song of the album... no lyrics at all (please, really), boring as HUNG IN A BAD PLACE and surely doesn't deserve a 7,5/10, which is more SOME MIGHT SAY, LOVE LIKE A BOMB territory.
You're very lenient with Liam lack of inspiration

Ain't got nothing on me isn't as terrible as we all thought it'd be BUT that doesn't mean it's a very good song BECAUSE IT ISN't. it's an alright song, similar to Meaning of Soul, also an "ok" song.
PS
A Bell will Ring is one of my favorite "post Morning Glory era" Oasis songs, same with Turn Up the Song. just my opinion.

ABWR is a better tune than TNOR. In fact, TNOR has hardly got a "tune" at all.
The album desperately needs another Noel song after Falling Down.

When i first heard the album and let my 'leaked 3 songs' bias hit Aint Got Nothing, i slated the last part of the album, started to go off To Be Where Theres Life...
Then yesterday, call it an epiphany, but going home from work in the car, I messed around with the speaker settings, put the bass up a bit and turned up the volume quite loud, and TBWTL, AGN and TNOR all sounded great 'played loud' tunes.. I prolly looked the eejit in the car with the head rocking to them! They've all went up at least a .5 out of 10 since then.

I'm starting to like Soldier On, might have been better had it stopped around the 2:20 mark IMO.
But, i'm still not really liking Nature Of Reality....
