Definitely Maybe and Be Here Now are my two favorite Oasis albums. Bu the one thing i've always liked more about Be Here Now are how the songs each have their own groove, and they're all good. If you have a good groove that you really dig, why should you change it constantly? DYKWIM is the best example of this. I'm sure to some it makes them seem pretentious, but I love getting into that one psychedelic groove and just staying there for as long as possible. That is actually the one thing I was hoping Oasis would have come back to in this album. Except I should have expected they wouldn't have, as the brothers have said that is one thing they always hated about that album and themselves at the time. But anyway, i'm really realizing that now. I've had a bit to drink, and when you're drinking, it's pretty special when you get into that groove and don't have to leave it. All the songs seem so short now.

i agree with it being short. every time i listen through the whole album i get to the end am like, "damn, it's over already?"... another couple of minutes would have been perfect. but hey... the album is amazing, so I'm happy with that.

Nah, I think the songs are perfect length. Any longer, and it would turn out like Be Here Now.

I don't think it was insinuated that the length of DOYS should have been 72 minutes long, but another 5 minutes would have been nice (DM or WTSMG length).

Nah, I think the songs are perfect length. Any longer, and it would turn out like Be Here Now. But as i've said, I really liked Be Here Now. >_> If an album is as good as Be Here Now, or Dig Out Your Soul, it can't be long enough. This album has more of a groove feel than a song feel. Song albums, like Beatles albums, should be short, like 35-45 minutes. But an album filled with grooves, each song is like listening to a mini-album and I think 6-7 minutes is a great length for a song. Of course, I realize that not everybody gets into that psychadelic groove like I do, and a song of 5+ minutes might get boring.

too long of songs kill the flow groove of an album. i would never get to the end of them.
