They said they werent allowing themselves to use ANY guitars on it, they wanted to do something different. Its very Beatles-esque and its a great song the way it is. And its great live

I think that the version on the bonus disc may have the guitar element from the concerts, im hoping it does, i like the live version, but i also like the album version, would be awesome to have studio recordings of both.

It would have been way more amazing with huge guitar strums in the choruses... I don't give a shit if it's more "Beatles-y" with no guitars... it would have BETTER with guitars.

The album version to me is a big let down after being hooked on the live version. I love the guitar outro live.
On the album is kinda just plods along too much for my liking, its not a bad song by any means but its some of liams most menacing singing on the album but doesn't quit fit without some guitar work in the background.

A big wall of guitars on this track would have been immense, perhaps they could have come in at halfway through the song to build it up more.

I dig the bass line on it the way it is now which I don't think would stand out as much if there'd been guitars on it.

Think it's PERFECT the way it is. You'd have to be an idiot to wanna make it one of those huge guitar layered songs. It's funny, so many fans bitch that they want something different...then when they do it, it's 'come on how could you not have those same old guitars on it'...
not saying anyone in particular but i've noticed it in a good number of you

DJ's all over are going to have heydey with this one. My friend summed this album up in a couple sentences... "DOYS is all about Liam vs. Noel on who wrote the best song, and in comes GEM..." It is one of my faves, but I have to keep reminding myself that Falling Down is on the album too and how much I love it. And I'm Outta Time is just WOW.

How good would TBWTL be on another band's album?

How good would TBWTL be on another band's album? If it's the same version? Still absolutely brilliant. It's the best tune Gem has written yet and one of my favorites of DOYS. I absolutely love the lyrics.
