Has the coolest outro ever Doesn't matter if it rips off five to one blatantly, it's much better than The Doors! Noel's best yet I reckon, it really is Force of Nature, meets Mucky Fingers. Which is a cliché to say, but I'm not wrong.

I know, I wish people would get over the whole ripping things off, its inspired by something and is turned into something different.....other types of music do direct sampling which is praised and wins grammys etc...what a strange world

It doesn't rip off Five To One, it pays homage in the production that's all. This is probably my favourite song since, well, in a long time. As you said it's Force Of Nature and Mucky Fingers but miles better and it has a killer theme. Coolest love song ever.

The one thing that they should have put in that final choruses/outro would have been some of those killer horns that Lennon used to have with him in the 70's...Lady Madonna-esque sax's....
THAT would have been fucking mega.

It's a thousand times better than both MF and FON
I HATE HATE HATE FON. One of the worst songs on HC.....it's so cheesy. I can see the comparison with WFTR though, because Noel's vocals are similar, but there's no way in hell that the comparison is warranted - WFTR is a great track, FON is not.

Na I really think this is a combination of both, it's got the funky outro, and powerful vocals with a pounding melody. My favourite up with the Turning I think.

Force of Nature is a tune but Waiting for the Rapture is definitely on the second/third tier on class oasis songs

The way he delivers the verses sounds dated and the lyrics are a bit cheesy, but the chorus is pretty good.
I don't have a problem with him pilfering another tune, but you have to be deaf to not realise that the intro basically IS Five to One!
"Five to waaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhwwwwn babyyyyyy, waaaaahhhwwwnn in fiiiiiiiiiive!!"
Hmm, what album is that on, Waiting for the Sun?? gonna find the cd...

great great song. noel might have lost something as he got older, but he has definitely gained something at the same time and this illustrates it completely. Fucking mint.

Its one of my least favorite track on the album actually. Idk, I guess its alright, but I dont understand all the praise its getting. Imo, its a bit of a boring song, the melodys mediocre, and its too simple. Im not trying to rain on anyones parade or be an asshole... I just dont understand how people can be calling it the best song on DOYS and single-worthy. Is it really that good

I absolutely love this song. Perhaps because I like "Five To One". But Waiting For The Rapture is most definitely a stand out on Dig Out Your Soul in my opinion.
(Notice how I didn't say WFTR, DOYS, and IMO) take a note.
* Post 420, how special.

This track is one of the best songs on the album. Great vocal, great title. I liked it before hand but i love it more with each listen. Cha cha. This is easily in noel's top 5 vocals for me.

Vocals are perfect, the meaning of the lyrics are genius, and the guitars rock. I also love the drums and how they are a lot like the drums from Helter Skelter (outro).

I love his vocal on WFTR but IDK I just don't like that hard bed of noise behind his voice. He's got a soft voice and it just seems so out of place for me. Not saying it's not a great song...just rubs me the wrong way
