Filler songs are like 'She Is Love', 'Force of Nature' etc. Just because you don't like a song doesn't mean that it's a filler. no, FON and SIL are shit. CNS is filler. On a good day I might consider CNS to be great. Anyway, my point is that DOYS has some tracks that are better to some stuff on earlier records but some people are so blinded by the memories of the so-called glory days that won't accept it when a new song is better than the older ones... I've got nothing against CNS or She's Electric, I enjoy both tunes and She's Elecric was one of my favourite Oasis songs for a while, I just used them as an example

stfu..."no filler".....what the hell do you call Digsy's Dinner? She's Electric? The Swamp Song? Magic Pie? Come off it. Magic Pie is one of my best friend's favorite songs... He fuckin' loves it. I don't hate the song by any means...

A filler would be a stupid skit, most crap platinum selling hip hop albums have them. I'm just happy all the tracks involve music.

my point is that DOYS has some tracks that are better to some stuff on earlier records but some people are so blinded by the memories of the so-called glory days that won't accept it when a new song is better than the older ones This is the problem which will blight every Oasis release until they're looked back on after a good while as a whole body of work. I remember talking to my Dad about it a few years ago, he was saying how Abbey Road and The White Album got a lot of stick when they were released because the memories of Revolver et al were still there and a lot of people wanted Rubber Souls and Revolvers forever. It's the same with Oasis. No album is going to compete with the Creation albums because they don't and never will, have the emotional pull and the memories that those records have for people who discovered Oasis around that time. They become more than songs, they remind you of a time in your life, or a specific memory - it's what makes a true classic record, and a true classic band. Consequently there will always be people hoping for a new DM, or a new DLBIA, but it's not going to happen. It's some of the best stuff ever written, so anything in the same vein by Oasis is only going to be a poor imitation anyway. It won't have the same emotional impact and it's up to other, younger bands to deliver the next DM, not Oasis, they've had their's. I believe a handful of bands have produced records since that deserve to be compared with DM, but as long as people wait for Oasis to do it, they will be disappointed. If they want a new DM they need to look for other bands to produce it, not Oasis. That's the point a lot of people miss. If you don't believe any band can produce another one, fine, but don't tarnish anything Oasis release because of that. What people should look for is the merits of Oasis 2008. Forget comparisons. Forget about what's come before it, forget about whether it sounds like this, or comparing it's tracklisting to DM's tracklisting. Take it for what it is. They are a different band, it is new, and it aint the same. I believe, although it's early days, DOYS does have the potential to be looked back on in time as a great record and that's why I still care about the band, and why I think it's definitely worth them continuing to record and keep on going.

DOYS is 11 tracks. The band claim to have 60 plus songs in the vaults waiting to be recorded. So why they need to rely on filler to pad out their albums is beyond me.
I'm sure I'll get a few months listens out of DOYS, then i think it will be put on the shelf beside DBTT and Heathen Chemistry...

thers only 1 filler on Dig out your soul and thats aint got nothing....but still even that is better than all the other crap bands produce today...
songs can only be fillers if they sound samey and are quick(unless there like magic pie 7 mins) but every song on dig out your soul....has had alot of effort spent on them no matter how bad u think they are....the production is amazing on this album

Too right. Not to mention Don't Go Away. Dont Go Away a filler? You CLOWN Did I say it was filler? No, I said it was a weak tune, mostly due to the production. The only thing that saves it is Liam's vocals.
