I heard maybe 2 solos (The Turning, NOR) and NOR was pretty short...That's hardly the return of the solo. DBTT still had more...

Never seen that before, a six minute solo at the end of Champagne Supernova. I like the way they play with the song, the tempo changes as such. Oasis should do this sort of thing more live. Shame how non-self-indulgent Noel has become after the BHN behemoth. |

DM and MG had several great solos each, and the best thing was that they were perfectly formed and melodically brilliant. They were almost songs within the songs. However, that was before Noel had about 50 million pounds in the bank. |

the one thing DOYS is missing is guitar solos. If BIU, TSOTL, GOYHHL, and SO had proper solos the album would be their best ever. The band that covered GOYHHL even had a wicked sitar solo that I thought the original would have had. As it is now, that songs is boring. Moreover, how do you claim that your songs are so psychedelic and not have more than two, three solos on an album. This is my one complaint with the album. Soldier On should have had a sick guitar solo to close out the album... something like the one from Roll It Over, Born on a Different Cloud, or Champagne Supernova (all their album closers have memborable guitar solos except Let There Be Love, but that song doesn't call out for one).

Theres actually a good few on the album.. Like on AGN... Theres a sweet solo Its just not as clear on the low quality mixes that we have now. If you listen in the instrumental break an unreal solo starts and continues throughout the next singing part too.. Theres a solo on SOTL too and obviously the turning ... Theres a few more Its just that this album was produced in a way that mixed the soloing and the rhythm playing in together but theres still a good few there

Someone else said it...this album would have been maybe their best ever if songs like Bag It Up, Waiting for the Rapture and Soldier On had guitar solos. Think of their earlier stuff... 1.
