I'd just clone Noel twice and get Whitey back. New Lineup: Liam - Lead Vocals Noel - Lead Guitar Noel - Rhythm Guitar Noel - Bass Alan - Drums To me, that's the best band ever. Let's face it, the best Oasis bass lines are on SOTSOG (played by Noel) and Gem does nothing Noel couldn't do himself, his songs aint' that great either. Please make a new option with my suggestion  |

You would have to say Gem and Bell considering how more technical they are and that they have a greater presence they have in the band, but its ironic that say if you were to ask someone who wasn't that great a fan of Oasis with no great knowledge of all the un-released songs and/or b-sides and asked them to name their top five Oasis songs. Chances are most likey there would be more songs recorded with Bonehead and Guigsy than Gem and Bell...

Liam should quit the band. Then form a new band with Bones, Guigs and Whitey. Then Noel could join them on the condition that he writes all the tunes.
They should call the new band, Oasis.

I can tell you this much, I know Noel def doesnt miss Bonehead......because Oasis sounds so much better live with Gem, an accompished guitarist who can play lead and not just rythmn

That has nothing to do with Guigsy or Bonehead and everything to do with the quality of Noel's songwriting back then. Aye, know that. Just pointing out the irony of it really. Its a pretty pointless point, but still all the same worth a mention. |

They were 100 times more exciting to listen to than they are now, it was pure punk rock man. Whichever poster said the real Oasis will always be Noel, Liam, Bonehead, Guigsy and Whitey has it spot on.
I'm guessing he has been an Oasis fan for longer than a couple of years and knows what he's talking about.
Also, he's right - they were a faaaaaaaaaaaaar better live band than they are now.
