My friend saw the band arrive at the soho metropolitan hotel on wellington st in downtown toronto this morning. They got off the tour bus that had tennesse plates and he said they all looked very tired.
The hotel is located in the cities club district and away from yorkville where the filmfest stars are mostly stayin.
This is great news if your an oasis fan and want 2 meet them because there is no back doors or guarded entrance.
Hang out in front across the small street.
There is a parking lot right there.

Hah - I'm staring right at the hotel from my condo! I'm considering dropping by there tonight, but that seems kinda pathetic and stalker-ish for someone my age....not to mention, based on Noel's blogs, he doesn't seem to friendly to fans/strangers!

Amazing.
I was thinkin about swingin by for a 30min and takin my chances around 7pm.
I heard that they are going 2 watch the foo fighters 2nite and check out the venue.

Hmmm...Foo Fighters go on about 9pm til 11pm tonight. 7/8pm would be a good time to catch them. I'm actually going to a club right behind Soho tonight (Shmooze 0r something) to celebrate a friend's bday...I wonder where the after party is or if one could catch them at the hotel or another near by bar?

I am sitting in my room at the SoHo right now...15th floor. I just bumped into Andy in the lobby bar. He was aces man. I bought him a Stella, and he decided to sit and chat for a bit.
I am in the entertainment biz (filmfest stuff). And we got a chatting. I asked about the new record. He said it is not as different to old Oasis as everyone says. I said I loved the 3 tunes I had heard already. He said they loved playing Canada.
Then Liam came in, I offered to buy him a drink, but he said NO! They are going to some MuchMusic event tonight...over on Queen at 299 WQueen.

Guys...I rolled by the Soho about 30 mins ago, but I couldn't bring myself to go in to the bar, etc. I've never been one to follow celebs around, and I got this really uneasy, rather pathetic feeling about myself as I was standing there. I mean...they're just people. We may love their music, but they're just people....it almost feels degrading standing on a sidewalk hoping to catch a glimpse. And even if you do, who cares really?
Anyway, I saw Gem walking with a large entourage up Blue Jays Way, and Andy Bell walked by me into the hotel by himself...seems as if he went shopping. There was also some media type outside having a smoke talking on his cell about the interview schedule tomorrow and something about Liam's hotel room - apparently the Soho is full (due to the film fest) and he needs to stay elsewhere.
That's it! I'm planning on going out there tonight, so maybe I'll run into someone...but that's about the only way I feel comfortable doing so.

Turns out nobody from the Oasis camp actually ended up going over to the island and most of the boys seemed to have an early night in. Liam was pretty concerned about taking good care of his voice in Montreal after the show, which is prob. why he refused that drink.
