I know it's been done a million times but let's get a new one going...I only used songs that appeared on albums though to mix it up
I say CS from the F2M concert may be the greatest solo I've ever heard...by anyone! However, looking foward to the solo in Sunday Morning Call is the only thing that gets me through the first 3 minutes

Noel has some truley great Solo's. DLBIA gets my vote. That solo gives me goosebumps. As does Live Forever. Champagne Supernova is classic, Turn Up The Sun is amazing and Importance of Being Idle is def one of my favorites

the CS solo from Earl's Court in 1996 (I believe) is INCREDIBLE, the extended solo is mind blowingly good

How the hell is D'You Know What I Mean not an option and Hung in a Bad Place is? Because DYKWIM is basically a 2 bar fill repeated twice. Hung In A Bad Place is actually a legit solo

Live Forever. It never fails to be mindblowingly amazing. I'm trying to learn how to play it. I can manage the first three notes so far.

Live Forever. It never fails to be mindblowingly amazing. I'm trying to learn how to play it. I can manage the first three notes so far. Keep at it man! Learning Oasis tunes when I was starting out on guitar are some of the best memories I have! I remember slaving over getting DLBIA and Live Forever's solos album perfect. ;D And, with that, I agree with you that Live Forever has the best solo. The whole tune is just absolutely perfect to me.

Live Forever.. man technically its not amazing but none of his solos are.. i hate those mad tapping extreme solos just seems like a random wall of noise thats high pitched. noels are have rythem they just sound fucking top. Ive played live forever solo so many times i want to be as good as him at it lol.

I voted for It's Getting Better Man, just to shake things up. It's well structured, starts in typical Noel pentatonic fashion and then twists things up a little by going to the Dorian mode. This sets a raunchy raw rock mood. The solo finishes with an ascending motif that leads into a thrilling final chorus.
EDIT - Oops, I was thinking of the 'My Big Mouth' solo. It's a better track.

And Noel doesn't even play the roll it over solo, does he?
