Quite honestly, they ARE a boring fucking band to see live if you're not living for every song. Their shows offer a virtual ZERO visual appeal, and like it or not, most peope count that significantly in the total experience. 1) Why would you go so? 2) Fuck off and listen to Radiohead or Coldplay

Noel and Gem's Stop the Clocks gigs got very good reviews. It was good to see them do something new. This gig probably doesn't seem too different to the one's they've been doing since the SOTSOG tour, except there is even less banter nowadays. Be great to go with some Oasis loving mates though.

Now this is a great proof that just about any fuck could get a job as a journalist! What about mention a couple of songs they played and not just focus on whether Noel and Liam gets along? This type of journalism actually reminds me of a "journalist" from Norway (I use that word loosely). He always slags of Oasis, and I've never heard him say anything good about Oasis. Imagine if this guy reviews Dig Out Your Soul?

Well . . . of course he wrote something like that. "I know this guy" . . . I put that in quotations because he's friends with people I know and he's a complete Rag-Stain (Sorry Femme-bots) . . . I couldn't believe it's actually him who wrote it but, like myself, we have insanely unique names! Anyways . . . he's a total narcissist too, obsessed with himself. So, since he pretty much just cut-up my religion (that being all things Oasis) .. . I got his address and website for you all!! .. . Let the hate mail , begin!!! Oasis Forever!! FOr a good laugh, look at his page: www.fluentfuel.com/default4.asp and click on the GETFLUENT above the GasPump! Oh, and yes . . .that is his own, self-created, website Blog on, Blogger! im sure I'll get a lot of shit for this... but I can kinda see how a non-Oasis fan wouldn't be very impressed by the concert. 1. It's always kinda lame to go to a concert that's not even close to full. I mean, I wouldnt enjoy a concert that was packed to maximum capacity prolly... but when its only about 50% full its just not as energetic and fun. 2. The band pretty much doesn't interact with each other at all during the set, they just kinda stand there and do their thing. For fans listening intently to the music, thats fine w/ them, but to casual listeners and other people at the concert, it's a bit boring if the band doesnt put on a show. 3. None of the band really interacts w/ the audience that much, which is part of the reason some people enjoy live shows so much. Hell Liam almost pretends like noones even there sometimes. 4. Although we're happy Liam's voice isnt terrible, its still not particularly good. I know that if I hadnt heard alot of the bands songs, I wouldnt be particularly impressed by Liam's live voice. i'd prolly just assume he was an average singer. 5. Once again, the band just stands there playing their instruments. To anyone who isnt in love w/ the music, this would be incredibly boring to watch. Im not saying I necessarily agree w/ her points, Im just saying that I could see why a non-Oasis fan wouldnt be impressed by their live show. lol I was reading this thinking who's side is this idiot on? Then I looked up to see who wrote it and it was you! lmao im an idiot for making good points as to why a non-Oasis fan wouldnt like their concerts? Hell, open your damn eyes and realize that Oasis doesnt put on that exciting of a live show. My friend won tickets to a Panic at the Disco concert and I went w/ him and a few other people, and even though I didnt no a single song of theirs, I still can honestly say I enjoyed the show. Was the music all that good? Not really... it was nothing special... but they put on a good, entertaining show. lol get over the fact that I proved you wrong in that thread like a week ago. Yes melody/music is more important than lyrics. Yes you were wrong. No I never said I was an excellent songwriter, you jumped to that conclusion by yourself. And I apologize for giving an unbiased opinion as to why the journalist gave them a bad review. Maybe itd be better if I said something like this: "Omg this journalist is retarded. They totally have a personal vendetta against Oasis, because that is the only way that someone could not enjoy an Oasis concert. And seriously, shes an idiot for not knowing all of the band members names. I cant beleive she didnt look them up on wikipedia before going to the show. And she has no right to criticize the band for looking bored, because they've been doing that for years now so its ok for them to do that." Would that make you happy ya dipshit ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/1258801/images/EkafNX9eWN8NC0b6Ehbr.gif)

Yeah, well Oasis is obviously not the right band for a casual concert-goer. Why would someone who's only heard Wonderwall 13 years ago even want to buy expensive tickets for an Oasis arena concert in 2008?
Of course a person like that wouldn't appreciate the concert.
But for anyone who's interested in the music, an Oasis show must be a brilliant experience. With a setlist including Slide Away, Don't Look Back In Anger, Lyla, etc. how can you go wrong?
This journalist was really ignorant, he doesn't know the band at all. He was like a cheese expert reviewing a wine - it's a whole different genre that he's an expert on.

Totally agreed.
Oasis aren't out to to play for people who want FLASH and FLARE, they're serving Rock n Roll for two hours a night. They play for people who like the instantness of Oasis . . . they come, they turn it up . . and rock . . .
For all of us fans, they deliver. They're playing songs that showcase their career, and critic or person who hasn't followed them, or are familiar with their records, just . . won't get it.
Oasis are a fans band . . . and fans, they have! Many . . . and that'll never change, so why should they?

They don't dance and shit, because they don't need to. Doing that just masks the music.
I bet you can't keep your eyes off Liam despite the fact he does nothing, try explaining that.

That eunich is not a critic...he's a prick. Besides, I've never gone to an Oasis gig to hear them talk. I've gone to hear them play. Six concerts later I still want more!
C'mon TEXAS!!!!!
