Lets be frank besides the end of the verses it's quite a ''shock''er ha ha ha.....  Was on soccer am yesterday and while willing it to be brilliant it was absloute tripe. I'm bracing myself for big letdown when the album cometh, it's going to sound awful on first listen with the exception of one or two, and loads of idiots who starting liking oasis from HC and DBTT will be throwing 8,9,10s all across the boards saying ''it's a grower listen to it''. If you listen to any song long enough you'll find some nugget of interest which you'll overblow until it encompasses the whole song. That's not Oasis, Oasis are Instant....Instantly Awesome!!!!  Seriously folks TIOBI while a good song is not a 10/10! I probably went a bit overboard here but now i'll ask the question.... ARE WE FORCING OURSELVES TO LOVE THE MAJORITY OF OASIS's NEW STUFFWe're never going to get anything from oasis in it's current format that'll eclispe the glory years, only a noel solo album could maybe do that. where as its hard to comment until we hear the record, im not getting into a frenzy over this. the lyric 'dig out your soul, cos here we go' is hardly inspiring
however until i hear the record from start to finish its hard to make a judgement

im gonna agree with you about TIOBI. I thought it was vastly overrated... good song, but I dont understand how people can still be jacking off to it.
I can honestly say however that I liked TSOTL and Falling Down immediately after the 1st listen. Cant say the same about alot of the tracks on DBTT and HC... which is the reason I think Im gonna enjoy this album a lot.

I heard U2 makes great winter albums |

I fucking love Be Here Now I listen to it more than any other album. But i guess Im an idiot for doing so And Im not expecting them to surpass their "glory years". I'm just hoping for a good album that i can enjoy until the next album comes out. If anyone is expecting them to surpass their first few albums, theyre just gonna be disappointed. Not to say that itd be impossible, but even if Oasis released a 10/10 album, people would still be talking about how DM and WTSMG are better..... |
