I'm well impressed with myself. I might become a hack. I certainly think I know it all!
A solid record and a good listen from start to finish. DBTT's strengths are several top quality songs and a full, well paced, varied but like-minded tracklisting.
DBTT is the first successful Oasis MK 2 record and shows a new work ethic. Noel, no longer the sole contributor concentrates the bulk of the songs while Liam gives his best effort and Andy and Gem lend the glue and flow of the record.
The only weakness for me is a poor album title and awful artwork which seems to be conceptually illustrating an out of favour Oasis rather than doing a very good record in it's self justice.
DBTT is given a hard time by some fans and in my opinion is underappreaciated as the album that kept the dream alive.

Its a good solid album from the first track to the last. Let There Be Love may be one of their best endings to any of there albums

I agree the music is good but the title and artwork are shit. I guess they tried to make a Definitely-Maybe-ish title, but it just isn't as 'catchy'. And the cover must be a fucking joke.

Good review. I agree with everything that you have to say, really. A top-notch record with memorable tunes!

I think it's the only album that doesn't have a bad song on it. That's not saying it's their best. It's obviously not. But every other album has songs on them that shouldn't be there. They got the tracklisting and the flow perfect on this.

Aboslutely right about the flow. But I don't think that there are any Oasis records with bad songs save for DOYS

I meant from the songs available for each album they picked the 11 best when choosing for DBTT. That in my opinion can't be said about any of the other albums.
