i hope you find this question (and the answers) as interesting as i do. why do you support the club you do? this is especially if you don't actually live in that city. i'll start. my grandmother's family lived in manchester for a few years, and since i was a yankee fan, i thought it would be more fun to root for the underdog. hence, i'm a city fan. (oasis didn't hurt too, btw.)

My Dad took me to see a game for my tenth birthday, and I fell in love with the club there and then.

I'd hate to support a big corporate club like Man Utd. Oh, for fucks sake. There's much more to Manchester United than replica shirts, you know.

Actually I doubt we could afford him, rumour was it'd be jimmy quinn. One thing though Ross, if Keegan was our manager you'd also have to suffer the post match interviews on South Today!!

thankyou for the insight!!! It just gets to me when people call us a 'corporate' club. Feels like a smack in the face to every diehard United fan - as though everything that's made the club into what it is pales into insignificance because we happen to have decent business acumen and a worldwide fanbase.

I used the term "like" and then used Man Utd purely as an example, because I don't classify you as the only corporate team in the league. Do you go to many games?

I work all the home games nowadays. Used to go to upwards of 10-15 per season at Old Trafford and a couple of aways.
