Well it's officially the end of the "Don't Believe The Truth" era as "Dig Out Your Soul" is just around the corner. I really appreciate this album and I can't believe some people on this forum don't like it. Well this thread is for the people that do like it. I consider DBTT the "return to form" album. For me this is their best album since "Morning Glory" being on par with "Be Here Now." I love every song on this album, something I just can't say about the previous two. I went to see Oasis at Marlay Park on 16th July 2005 and it was one of the best moments of my life. Fantastic gig and the sun was splitting the rocks!!! Anybody else go? So some appreciation for this glorious album and tour please?..... ;D

I agree that its there most consistent album since Morning Glory in the sense that every tune on it is listenable unlike there previous few efforts but for me it just lacked something and was a bit bland and boring.
I'd take SOTSOG and HC over it any day even though those two albums had some fucking terrible tunes on them where as like I said before DBTT is solid from start to end but for me I'd rather listen to the likes of Go Let It Out and The Hindu Times 20 times in a row then DBTT from start to finish.

I disagree with puretone, I think HC is the most bland and boring album Oasis have ever done.
I think DBTT is a good album, though in retrospect sticking Record Machine and Stop the Clocks (for, in my opinion, Let There Be Love and Love Like a Bomb (and maybe sub Mucky Fingers for Eyeball tickler)) wouldn't have hurt.

let there be love gets too much stick on here. it's top and i as a songwriter would give my left nut to write a song like that.

DBTT is a great album from start to finish. Definitley better than HC and SOTSOG, I dont know if I would say its better than Be Here Now. Let There Be Love is an AMAZING song! I too wish I could have wrote that. Not sure why it didnt get more love.
Ill say this now, Stop the Clocks and Record Machine SHOULD have been on DBTT, it would have made DBTT way better than BHN and would have been able to contend with DM and WTSMG in my opinion. Those songs would have fit the sound of DBTT, not sure if they would fit on DOYS. But hopefully Record Machine and Stop the Clocks will be released soon, either on their next album or realease them as a double A side single around Christmas time or something. Those songs are way too good to be sitting in the vault as long as they have.

This album has some of my favorite tracks by the band. Liam wrote some good ones on it.
