Hi there, My name is Saar and I'm from Israel. (I don't write here often)
I'm a huge oasis fan since 2005 (a huge fan for 3 years, since I'm 14 years old). Back then I couldn't see them live and I decided last year that when Oasis will release their 7th studio album, I'll fly to see them live, since they'll probably won't come over here...
So, I decided I'll spend a lot of money and go to the UK tour this October. My plan is to take off at October 12th, And go to Oasis's Birmingham gig at October 13th or 14th. Then I'll head to London and go see The Subways live in October 15th. A day afterward I'll go to Wembley Stadium and see Oasis great gig. And in October 19th I'll departure back to Israel.
What do you say? Does it sound like a good plan? Do you think the Birmingham gig and Wembley gig will be good?
Do you have any recommends? Remember- I come from far just for them... so I appreciate if you could help me.

My only recommendation is that you see them live. It doesn't really matter where.

jaja Thanks.. I agree it's the best advice. Someone knows where they'll be sleeping ? I'm coming all the way over from Israel... I'd like to see them closer than on stage.

Listen, I've got few questions-
1. at what time usually gigs start ?
2. How much time before gigs start should I be there?
3. How can I be Near the stage? does it connects to the tickets or should I just run front?
4. What tickets do you recommend to buy? sitting or standing?
thanks a lot!

From my experience Oasis usually go on beyond 9pm. This can vary, though, depending on the number of support acts, and the venue's curfew. It's best to ask the door staff on your way in - they usually receive a detailed rundown of stage times before the doors open.
For indoor arena gigs I'd suggest getting there around an hour before the doors open, assuming you want to be at the head of the queue. Get to the stage any way you can - be that arriving early and heading straight for the front, or simply pushing your way through the crowds.
Oh, and buy standing tickets. Seats, for Oasis? Not on your life.

Yeah mate. I though it'll be weird to buy seats for Oasis gig.... but I wanted to ask, to be on the safe side.
Another question from the big gigs rookie: Should I bring money and cell phone to the gig? or it might get stolen?
Thanks a lot!!
Oh, and one more thing I forgot to ask - Is there an area ticket? I mean.... in Wembley for example - there are tickets to the balcony and tickets for the pitch?

Yeh definitely stand, I went to one gig where I had seating tickets and the experience just doesn't compare.
One guy I went with had a phone and a wallet stolen from his trousers, so if you're worried, don't take too much with you. Most take cash for buying alcohol but seeing as your 14 that won't be a big problem.

Ive got a question for UK fans, I wanna go check em out in Manchester, and want to be in the pit, how many standing hours are we talking bout? I dont wanna be way in the back but atleast center, maybe 10-25 back. If I arrive one hour before the gates open, and have pit tix, what are my odds? OUt here in the states its almost always seats, unless they do like a festival type but, you cant really compare the crowds at a Uk gig with an American gig, you know what I mean? thx

Ive got a question for UK fans, I wanna go check em out in Manchester, and want to be in the pit, how many standing hours are we talking bout? For indoor arena gigs, about one or two, tops. For stadium gigs, it's made a bit easier because there's much more room down the sides, but you'd probably still have to start edging your way into the centre at least a couple of hours before they're due on. Unless, of course, you don't mind making a last minute dash for the front and throwing a few elbows around in the process.
