Human contribution to this phenomenon i say is scant. I live by the sea, and our water levels, from consulting my tide chart/table have remained the same since i was came into the world on that great joyous day of 13//03/89

He makes a good point really. Apparently human contribution to this is like less than 1% of the problem and the rest is volcanoes and cows and crap. I have a solution: Put all the cows in the volcanoes and put a lid on them... But seriously, why get so worked up when there's nothing we can do about it. This is just the media getting us all panicked during their slow news days.

Whether or not it's humans' fault, it doesn't hurt to act more responsibly toward the environment...

Although the whole movement towards being environmentally friendly is good for all of us, I do think that it is getting a tad over blown now.
The environmentalists were telling us how were were going to have a warm summer. We ended up having one of the snowiest, and coldest winters here in recent times. Then they said this summer would be hotter than ever - guess what we've set a new local record for rainfall in a summer. Now the scientists have done a 180 turn and are saying that these two facts were the result of global warming. I don't understand how they want to have it both ways just to fit their own agendas.

(and there's a reason.)

Yeah, but that's the argument here. Apparently that smog isn't as damaging to the environment as a couple of gassy cows in a field and a few volcanoes. So, all these green taxes are a scam to get more money out of us for nothing. P.S. I don't believe in the recession either...

His report was very controversial anyway
I'm standing up to what I said: whether man is responsible or not, it doesn't hurt us to be more environment friendly and support sustainable solutions

It is good to be more responsible but at the same time I don't want to be constantly force fed all this global warming bs 24/7 on all fronts. The other day I read something telling people that they should stop eating meat because being a vegetarian produces less CO2. It's getting a little to extreme now.

I agree on that as well.... And has this person thought about the consequences of billions of people turning vegetarians? It would exhaust every piece of land available or something I'm sure and prob other consequences... It is pretty short sighted.
However I like to know that part of my garbage is gonna be recycled (cardboard, paper, plastic, glass and aluminum), that my dishwasher is smart and saves water. I'd like to have a source of electricity based on sun but living in the North, it's probaby not worth the cost... Fuel efficient cars, rechargeable batteries, water filters instead of a new bottle every time...
Everybody can do it, I don't think it's too extreme...

I care and it's all very worrying now especially as we now have a climate emergency.
