I think this is the correct place to post this. If not, forgive me, I'm new. I just wanted to say Oasis fever is alive and building here in NC.
I have an acoustic rock duo/trio here in the Charlotte area and we were playing at a local Irish bar Friday night. We generally do 4 or 5 Oasis tunes in the course of the evening (Hello, DLBIA, Wonderwall, Don't Go Away) and sometimes Lyla.
We always get a great response from Wonderwall and Don't Go Away...they've become our go-to tunes, complete with 3-part harmonies, etc. Friday, one of our friends, who happens to be from Manchester, walked in celebrating his b-day with another friend of his visiting from Manchester.
Soon, everyone was requesting Oasis tunes, talking about the new album, making plans to buy tix when they become available, etc.
It was a great night! Just thought I'd share

Nice to see a fellow North Carolinian here. I'm from Chapel Hill. My band covers some Oasis tunes and I've spread the Oasis word around my high school and local area. Cheers good luck down in Charlotte, love that city.

Dude! I just moved back to my home in Michigan from NC. I played college baseball down at Blue Ridge CC. Other guys on the team didn't really know much about Oasis except for the early hits like Wonderwall. I even had my own walkout song for when I went out to pitch and I used F@#$ing in the Bushes. Btw it is Asheville area where I was at.

Hola! What'd you take off back to Michigan for? I didn't know Blue Ridge CC fielded a baseball team, but I know where you're talking about. F'in in the Bushes is a great walkout song.
Of all the Oasis songs we play, of course people love Wonderwall, but of the people who come see us repeatedly, Don't Go Away and Lyla are their favorites. It's a shame people don't know more than What's the Story... songs

I headed back cause my coach left for a job at Tennessee. I'll be playing ball up here in Michigan. And I loved the area and hearing A Bell Will Ring on the NC commercials lol. I really think that Oasis has potential to gather a storm in NC (Word spreads pretty fast).

Isn't NC where Noel quit the tour in '96? I think your state is part of Oasis history...

I can't remember if it was here or in SC...maybe the show was supposed to be at the then-NBA franchise Hornet's practice facility. I think I remember hearing about that being the show. Nice to get into the record books
