There original group of songs on the Masterplan is better than the mixed up list you have there.

but Rockin' Chair is a cover? it's not a cover! Noel G wrote it, and the lyrics are incredible I feel. Top stuff from the Chief. As always.

Don't go away isn't a b-side. And substitute it with the incredible "underneath the sky

Well I read somewhere the joy Noel felt as a kid when he bought the single for 'This Charming Man' and flipped it over to hear 'Jeane' (great tune). He gets so much flak for 'wasting' all those classic songs but seriously whats wrong for someone to give his fans the same joys when he listened to music? Besides I wouldnt wanna hear 'old songs', keep it fresh. I doubt Noel planned to burnout...or did he?

Like it or not, BHN killed Oasis in America. It was a #2 album (i.e. people were interested) and then they just disappeared.
Had Noel had reserved some of the b-sides from the morning glory era, and put them on BHN, Oasis wouldn't be the forgotten band they are. I love BHN, but its insanely bloated and flawed. This has been discussed to death, but its flaws in some ways are its charm.
Doesn't really matter one way or another, since the songs ARE available, but the success of the band would be very different had the structuring of songs been different.

That was Standing that killed them in america (another great album, but it's true nonetheless). The fact is BHN had two huge hits over here. DGA and AATW get more airplay where i live than any oasis song bar wonderwall. BHN sold 10 millions copies, and only like .5 million in the first week- that's what always makes me mad. It's not like they sold all of them b/f anyone heard any tracks... the album sold well. Then again, i wasn't around at the time, i suppose if it were expected to sell 40 million, 10 is pretty disappointing.

The band should have taken a fucking break and just chilled for a bit. Collect themselves, kick some habits...and then record an album. I love both albums anyway.

if noel had a better attitude he could do chat shows or visit more US radio stations or little acoustic sets in NYC and wherever else instead of being like "if they buy it they buy it who cares" hes really charismatic i bet the yanks would love him
maybe warner bros will help em out a bit
