I was listening to Giants on full volume yesterday and for fucks sake, there are LOADS of guitar riffs buried WAAAAAAAY down in the mix of Sunday Morning Call after the 3 minute mark (on the chorus').
I've always thought it was an OK song, but I imagine it would be one of my favorites if the electric guitars had been turned up at least a bit. As it is, they are barely audible (you need to crank the song to make them out clearly, but they ARE in there).
AND NO... I"M NOT TALKING ABOUT THE OBVIOUS ELECTRIC GUITAR USED IN THE FIRST HALF OF THE SONG.
Am I the only one who went so long without noticing these kick-ass riffs?
P.S. If you need to find them, there's a good example from 4:00 - 4:08.

I dont think SOTSOG was a "kick-ass riffs" kind of album. Its more of an experimental venture.

It's Some Might Say for me. Everything about that song is perfect. The opening riff still hits me like a ton of bricks.

Well, you didn't answer my question. And my comment was a direct reply to the following: For my money, 'Where Did It All Go Wrong' features the best riff Noel has ever produced.
