So if Phil Collins joined the band and wrote 10 of 11 songs for the follow-up to DOYS, that would be perfect as long as they were good Phil Collins songs?? Fucking dolt. Then it's a Britney fucking Spears album, fuckhead. If you like Britney, go buy her albums. No fucking real Oasis fan would want Britney to join the band and write all their songs. Fucking goof. Did someone say contradiction? I think you better read those quotes again because there is no contradiction. Whether it's Britney Spears or Phil Collins or Gem Archer or Andy Bell, it doesn't matter. It ain't Oasis. Where is the contradiction in that?

Why is everyone saying 3 Noel songs? Am I missing something? Because I only see 2 songs sung by Noel, which is really disappointing because I really enjoy Noel-sung songs.
Also, I'm really disappointed that GOYHHL is an instrumental. I'd rather a tune with lyrics. So it's pretty much like ten songs which is annoying. Hopefully it's worth it . . .

SOTSOG- LAMB, Revolution Song HC- Shout It Out Loud DBTT- Stop The Clocks, Record Machine, (Liam sung) LDSMD I fully understand but I can't see a need for replacement in most cases. LAMB and Revolution Song should have been on there, not as replacements but just for the fact there is only 10 tracks on the album and more is better. LJ should have been on there too for what I'll call "Transitional Purposes". Shout it out loud should have replaceed AQP at the very least To put record machine on you would take off LTBL which is Noel written anyway. Putting LDSMD (Liam) would just mean you have Lyla, Mucky Fingers and LDSMD that all sounds alike, unless you take on off which would be a noel song for a noel song again. STC I wont argue with except to say obviously Noel wasn't happy with it.

I'm trying to figure out away to put 'em on but without taking off the other Noel songs but it seems to be in vain. The good news is that Noel seems to have gotten DBTT right when it comes to the tracklisting which does make a nice change compared to all the great songs he needlessly discard on SOTSOG. I'll get back to you when I figure out a way to make the DBTT demoes work!

GOYHHL could be something special and Noel will probably get to sing some b-sides and who knows maybe we'll have some extra tracks with the different versions of the album.

Ah, OK. Thanks. Still too many Liam songs though. It should be... Noel - 8 Liam - 1 Andy - 1 Gem - 1 Could not agree more!! There are 5 year olds with better songwriting ability than Liam!! "Play with your toys, even though they make noise" Ha ha LOL...poop "Let's go find a Rainbow...." ...... "I'm 10 outta 10 all night" I'll agree with little james but meaning of soul is a great song

Im sorry...that almost looks like an optimistic post! I haven't seen one in awhile so its a little hard to digest. Can you make it more whiny and discuss what is already wrong with the new Oasis album before its even been RELEASED? I'm so psyched for this album, I reckon its going to be atleast the best Oasis album of the decade! And I cant wait to here all the songs live...This is my first sorta wait for an album and I'm itching to hear all those upcoming B-sides!

Personally I'd rather Liam/Gem/Andy write more songs if it means less Noel-sung ones!

I agree Noel is one of the best songwriters of the last 20 years, maybe more. Liam on the other hand was born with the menacing snarl of rock n' roll but not the songwriting talent.
I mean, he's been around Noel as a bandmate for nearly 16 years now...he was bound to learn a little something. His few decent tunes are an example. Hell, even Ringo managed to write one or two decent songs after the Beatles split, even though he needed charitable contributions from Harrison and Lennon to get them recorded

It ain't Oasis. Where is the contradiction in that? You're a fucking moron. Andy Bell and Gem Archer have been in the band for 8+ years now... yet they're still not a part of Oasis??? Their songs don't count as Oasis songs??? What the hell are you talking about man... You need to get over the fact that its not 1999, when Noel wrote all the songs on each album... and accept the fact that its 2008 and Oasis has 4 songwriters in the band. Paul McCartney and John Lennon were the only songwriters in The Beatles when they released their first album. Does that mean that George Harrison and Ringo's songs don't count as Beatles songs??? Absolutely not. And Noel even admitted that Andy Bell's songs on DBTT were the songs that sounded "the most like Oasis" on the last album. Obviously Noel considers TUTS to be an Oasis song... considering it opens the damn album. And KTDA is one of the best tracks on DBTT, but then again, you refuse to beleive that anything post-SOTSOG could ever be as good as their first few albums. You clearly have no idea what the hell you're talking about. The fact is, if anyone joins Oasis and contributes a song, it counts as an Oasis song. It's not that hard of a concept really. There's more to Oasis nowadays then just Noel Gallagher. Accept it or leave the damn forum. O yea and btw... I never said I wanted Britney Spears to join Oasis you dipshit. I said that IF she joined the band, wrote songs that were better than everyone elses in the band... Id want those songs to be on the album. Then again, no real Oasis fan would want Noel Gallagher to put out mediocre 12 song albums every few years. Real Oasis fans have accepted the fact that theres more than one songwriter in the band nowadays. Then again... you're prolly one of those "fuckheads" that thinks that Mucky Fingers is better than Guess God Thinks I'm Able, solely because Noel wrote MF while Liam wrote GGTIA.

Yeah I rather a decent Liam, Andy Or Gem song than a shit Noel filler. It would be great if Noel could write a full album of tunes and have them all be great but unfortunately that isn't the case nowadays.

So I guess in robohump's mind, none of the drumming has counted since WTSMG because Tony left after DM
