Since I will be heading out to Seattle for the first Oasis concert of 2008 on 8/26/08, I am considering getting some sort of recording device to get a decent bootleg of the gig (hopefully to bring some good quality recordings of the new songs to this board!)
Does anyone have any experience recording gigs that can give me advice on equipment or how-to's of recording??
thanks in advance!

this guy mark persic made several legendary springsteen recordings in the 80s...........competely changed my view of audience stuff
ok it was in the days of cassettes and he used nakamichi gear which then cost a fortune but who knows now secondhand?
there ygo matey food for thought-if you want to get in contact with any of these let me know
and if you are going to a hawks game (or even if you arent) i am having a clearout after our house move and need to get some of my 10 seahawks shirts to a good home............if you want one for nominal payment they are the replica heavyweight stitched gameshirts
just make sure i get a copy of your recording lol

Thanks for the feedback all! I will take it into consideration. Due to the amount of $ I've spent to get to this show (Airfare from Detroit to Seattle and tix on ebay and the lot) this will depend alot on my financial position, but I would love to be able to bring back a good recording of this since it will be the first time we ge to hear the new songs live, and unfortunately I currently have no recording equipment of experience.
Rest assured that if I get a recording of the show the members of this board will be the first to know it!
Unfortunately the Seahawks are going to be away (@ San Diego) while I am there, and my friend I am going to visit there is a huge fan of them. We did see them play here in Detroit last season though while my friend was here visiting.
