Around the time sotsog came out they did that mtv behind the music interview. The first time I saw it and heard the music I was hooked. Went straight out and bought my first Oasis album which was Familiar to Millions. I've been addicted to Oasis ever since. Ah can still remember putting that first disc in my cd player and listening to it while I drove. My ears were truly opened. One of many magical moments had while listening to Oasis.

its cool to hear stories of people getting hooked to oasis post wtsmg.. i remember being around 14 not really into any music at all, listening to mtv late night b/c i couldn't sleep and they had like a "new comer" block of videos. wonderwall came on, and i was like floored by the song, had never felt the need to buy a cd b/c of hearing an artist.. next day i went to the cd store and bought my first cd.. wtsmg.

I was listening to Music Choice last September and Morning Glory came on. I really liked that song so I went onto youtube and watched Wonderwall, DLBIA, and Supersonic and liked those. Rock 'n Roll Star also came on Music Choice around the same week and I remember thinking "Who is this band?" By this time I had heard enough so I asked for WTSMG for Christmas and fell in love with that album. Then I went out and bought Definitely Maybe and that was all I needed. I am completely hooked now.

I was watching VH1's I love the 90's, and they were talking about Oasis. They were talking about them always fighting, and how they were so good and got so famous so fast, then they broke up, and I thought that to be true, so I forgot the name of the band within five minutes, but I still wanted to listen to them. I go upstairs, ask my friend on AIM for a good song that I might like, and she said, "Look up Wonderwall, I don't know who its by though..." and I looked it up, and then illegally downloaded about 24 more songs, I bought Definitely Maybe and WTSMG a week after that, then 4 months later, Be Here Now and the Masterplan. I got DBTT for christmas a few months after that, and I bought Heathen Chemistry and SOTSOG around March of this year.

Somewhat. I was starting to get bored with the bands I was listening to and made a small list of bands I had heard about and never really checked out.
I had always loved the song Wonderwall, so Oasis was near the top of the list. I dled a few of the tracks off of WTSMG and DM... and I wasnt totally blown away at first. I liked em, but I wasnt blown away. It wasnt til I got DM, WTSMG, and all of the bsides off the 2 that I really started digging the band.

When I was 15 walked into a NYC HMV just because I swear to this day something propelled me in there, because I had no interest in music, my mom say I could buy one cd, I found this big wall that read "BIG HITS" and Morning Glory was on one row and Hootie and the Blowfish were on the other (this was 1996) and I had BOTH cds in my hand, trying to decide which one to get, its funny how one little choice can change the whole rest of your life! I dunno if that on accident, its more like fate I like to think

I got FIFA 06 in october 2005. I used to play the game everyday for at least 1 hour because I was obsessed with it. Shortly after I got it, I realized that it had almost all of the music on there was pure shit. So I went through the playlist and turned every song off except for Lyla (which was on the game). All through the my long christmas holidays I played FIFA 06. So I spent a lot of time listening to Lyla. I really liked the song but couldn't be bothered to find out anything about Oasis. Eventually, I thought I would download the song (because I was going on a family holiday for a month and I had just got an ipod). I had recently discovered youtube, so I'd thought I'd take a look there to see if there was a music video for this song. After watching the video, I read the comments and most of the comments said that songs like Wonderwall absolutely shat all over Lyla. So I took a look at the Wonderwall video and was blown away. I has never heard a song as good as this. So I typed Oasis into google and went to their website. I read a bit about the history of Oasis. I went to the music section and listened to samples of every song. Pretty much all of them were fantastic. I never knew that bands could have so many good songs. It was amazing.
Anyway ever since then I have been obsessed with Oasis. Can't wait to see them live because I couldn't get tickets the last time they came around.

You can say I pretty much discovered them by accident. Was zapping on the TV and Lord Don't Slow Me Down popped up on one channel. The rest is, as they say, history.

I disovered them in about 2004 at the age of about 13. I was into rap at that particular time - but dont get heavy as it was just what everybody listened to in NZ and i knew no better. I was in the lounge and mum (who is a massive fan and always had been) put on the there and then dvd. Id never really taken her rants about 'real music' seriously but as soon as this came on and i saw liam wrenching out hello i was like fuckin hell whats this?! So i watched the rest of the dvd and it just opened my eyes. I can honestly say that this band changed my life in the best possible way. It was live forever and the masterplan that really did it for me - i watched them over and over again just about every morning before school. Thanks Oasis. Now the world has one less mindless trend zombie. you set my mind free
