Is there another band that has this kind of buzz around every album release, complete with made up tracklists, bogus reviews, and promises of leaks? I follow a lot of bands (none as close as Oasis), and have never seen anything that begins to compare to this type of hype. It's truly an amazing thing, if not maddening at times.

I have yet to see another board like this one! ahh well, according to the post, in 11 hours and 6 minutes we will have the album, riiiight. It is crazy seeing all of the posts claiming to have the album, or have heard the album.

In a way I want it more than anything, and in another I want to call off work on October 7th and hear it for the first time after buying it. The fun ends for the most part if it leaks, and I know my willpower isn't good enough to withstand two months, I'd have to stop reading this board, and that's not likely to happen. No way it leaks anyways, but the anticipation is fun.

I guess it'll eventually leak at some point, but the question is by who, and when? All these people claiming they will be the ones to leak it or point the way to it can't be correct.
At the same time, I hope it leaks sooner than later, b/c I can't wait until Oct. 6.
I simply won't make it...

It's like xmas - you build up the anticipation once you get into December with the shopping, media coverage, tv holiday programming, etc....the excietnment grows and grows and climaxes on the 24th, while come the end of the 25th, it's all over for another year. Right now, we're approaching the 24th with respect to this album. Once we get it and starting listening to it and reviewing it - that's the 25th, but after a few plays it all over with - but here's where the analogy differes - for ANOTHER 3 YEARSYeah, we'll have gig dates, tours, interviews, reviews, etc to keep us entertained for the next few months - but thats like New Years Eve/Day if you continue the analogy - pale in comparison to what has just gone. ^^ Damn, that's a fucking good analogy. I'm printing this out and hanging it on the fridge to show mommy  |

I just dont want to ruin what could potentially be the record ill remember when im looking back at my teen years by getting a leaked copy. Yaknow? Itd be like being told about Santa when you were 3 (continuing your fantastic analogy in the hope i do it justice). Just ruining the magic. In the ideal world id have extreme willpower and order the actual vinyl and blast it from a record machine.
The chances of this happening - about as likely as me getting my hands on Carmen Electra
