Firstly, I would like to state that I could very well lose my job by divulging the information I am about to share with you this evening. It is extremely sensitive information and must be treated with the utmost respect. What is this top secret information? Well, I can announce tonight that a full album version leak of The Shock of the Lightning has been approved by the band and both the UK and North American labels (Big Brother Recordings and Warner Bros. Records, respectively) for 2:07 am BST on Thursday August 7th, 2008. This leak is meant to come across as "spontaneous". Both the band and both labels will deny any involvement, but trust me, the leak will come at their hands. But bands and record labels don't leak singles! Oh they most certainly do, as I have witnessed countless times since 2006. I can confirm that the leak will be spread to Oasis message boards (including this one) shortly after 2:07 am BST on the 7th by new members (Warner Bros. and Big Brother employees in disguise). This is not a threat, it is a promise

I wanna believe, too. 'Cause a 20+ second clip isn't exactly "tying me over."

Despite what some are saying, the album WILL NOT leak in the month of August. Anyone telling you different is a liar.
The Shock of the Lightning will leak on August 7th and 2:07 am BST.

Well at least if the insider is a liar he is going at it from a slightly different angle then others. You are quite the bullshit artist mate. If you are for real you are cool though. But you gotta understand the amount if nobodies who post supposed info on leaks and tracks and the like that just turn out to be utter shite. I wanna believe you. I also wanna believe John Cena. But one of you is wrong. Hopefully both of you are not wrong.

But one of you is wrong. Hopefully both of you are not wrong. Believe me, I understand completely. Especially after reading idiotic posts from wrestlers and Batman villains (who are probably the same people). Shortly after 2:07 am BST, the single will leak at the request of Big Brother Recordings and Warner Bros. Records. It will be distributed to select Oasis newsgroups and be "all over the net" by the 8th of August. Both labels and the band themselves are extremely confident about this single (all involved believe it is the strongest single since Be Here Now). They want to create some buzz before the 15th, when the single will be played for the first time "officially". This is a very common tactic in the recording industry. Let me be very clear on one point however. The full album WILL NOT LEAK BEFORE SEPTEMBER. Period. End of discussion. All involved know that leaks are inevitable, but the labels can easily ensure there isn't a leak until mid September at the earliest.

BST = Bullshit Time. Sorry, couldnt pass that up. You sound like a good sorta guy insider. I can fully believe that labels would do that. Maybe you are the real deal. September also seems a fairly legitimate time for a leak. August is really soon in this day and age. Bring it on. I feel this album is gunna be insanely good. I think it'll blow all other post 90s oasis records out the water.

well actually british summer time i just looked it up but i cant see why big brother would leak this at 2 in the morning over here, makes no sense all there other releases with this album have come late afternoon here. and another thing why would big brother have to agree with sony and warner, there only an output for distrubution of physical releases. Oasis are on there own label they do what they like

also if this was to be spontaneous why would it be sent to oasis newsgroups? they only have to stick it in 1 place and thats it, it would spread like every other kind of leak. and there would be more 'buzz' about it being played on readio 1st otherwise why would anyone tune in, this is the most pathetic attempt yet
