I obviously love it when a new album comes out, got lots of memories from the past ones...
Definitely Maybe - Remember being blown away by this WTSMG - Got an early copy from a market trader (wasnt a bootleg), so happy going through town blasting out Wonderwall a month before the album came out Be Here Now - One of the first few in Windsor to buy this album (got a crappy t shirt because of this), loved the hype and attention Oasis were getting round this time SOTSOG - Must admit i got an early copy of this (bought the album of course) , i really liked this, brings back huge memories of 2000 HC - Again got another early copy of it (As always i also bought it), loved a few songs on it but must admit was disappointed DBTT - Was very excited when this leaked, loved the return to form by Oasis.

I will...if the whole album leaks I'll download it and listen to it...but only if the whole album leaks and it's good quality. But I'll still buy the album when it's officially released.

I only plan on downloading TSOTL when it leaks. I plan on waiting so I can just sit back with a fat blunt and listen to it from start to finish. Magical

Agreed. I prefer to listen to an album from start to finish. If a few songs leak from DOYS here and there it'll take away the 'album' experience for me. I'm not saying it'll be easy to perhaps have to ignore initial reviews of songs etc...it'll be tough....but it'll be worth it...for me anyway.

I don't understand the people who claim if it leaks they'll STILL WAIT IT OUT..... If the entire album leaks at once, it's most likely good quality, and thus is the exact same thing as listening to the CD Version but a couple weeks sooner. Furthermore, for us hardcore fans, it's exciting rating the albums, reviewing the tracks, ranking the album amongst the other 6, reading reviews and interviews etc. That's why this forum exists. If you avoid the leak, then you can partake in any of these discussions. Ever. Because when you hear "Guess I'm Outta Time" for the first time Oct 6, everyone else would have discussed it to death weeks earlier. You become ostracized. But everyone has their own preferences. I just don't understand why one would wait it out? The music is the same no matter when you listen to it, and the ability to generate good discussions about it on this forum is a big factor for me. Right. People who "wait it out" are homos. Simple as that. It's a pointless, self-important action that really means nothing at the end of the day, unless you have zero designs on purchasing the album outright. The idea that they "care" about the "official" release is a hoax...they could care less about the "official" release date...certainly in the abstract anyway. They merely are concerned with their own, personal experience. Nothing more, nothing less. This coming from a guy 100% against the online theft of media (exactly what the illegal downloading of copy-written material IS). I'll bend the rules for about 5 bands, Oasis being one of them. Note the word "BEND"... big distinction between break. IF I download anything early, you can be sure that I'll purchase at least one copy of the disc as soon as it hits the shops (many times picking up 2+ for friends/family). This pretty much negates the aforementioned, as that d-load action then become quasi-legal, as its ok to download owned c-right material for "archive" purposes if one already own the media. Please don't bother flaming me, I realize my stance is somewhat hypocritical, but it has some virtuous merit. The "waiting game" has always mystified me..."Get Off Your High Horse" already. I know I will.

If the single and the b-sides leak, I will definitely listen to them because I've been waiting three bloody years for some material. If the album leaks, I won't listen to it because I wanna hear the album in its best quality, read the sleevenotes whilst listening to it, etc, etc. I've never been involved in the build up to an Oasis album (Don't Believe The Truth was the first one I bought) so I don't wanna ruin it by hearing some poor quality mp3 of it from rapidshare.

If they want the experience of buying the CD, then how can any of us say downloading it earlier is somehow better?
