First, before getting to the reason for this thread, I gotta advise everyone to take a deep breath and calm the fuck down. lorddontnoelmedown may or may not be telling the truth, but I cant believe how worked up people are getting over it. I cant tell whether or not he's telling the truth, and frankly, I dont really care, I'll hear the album along with everyone else in a matter of weeks anyways. The fact is, if he's lying, then he'll be exposed and no one will take him seriously ever again. However, if he is telling the truth, then everyone who doubted him and got all worked up about it are gonna look like absolute douchebags. Anyways, the purpose of this thread is to rank the various tracks from the WTSMG sessions (this includes the bsides as well as the album tracks), from best to worst. Try not to overthink this, we all know none of the tracks flat out suck, and all of em are pretty good, but some songs are still better than others. Didnt include Cum Feel the Noize since its a cover, and disregarded the untitled instrumentals because of the The Swamp Song. For me, it goes: 1. Champagne Supernova (Tied for fave Oasis song) 2. Morning Glory 3. Wonderwall (Theres a reason this is the only Oasis song most Americans know) 4. The Masterplan 5. Aquiesce 6. Don't Look Back in Anger 7. Some Might Say 8. It's Better People (Idk why, but I love this song) 9. Underneath the Sky 10. Step Out 11. Roll With It 12. Talk Tonight 13. Hello 14. Headshrinker 15. Cast No Shadow (Sometimes I love it, sometimes I feel like skipping it halfway through, which is whys its so low) 16. Round Are Way 17. Rockin' Chair (Never really understood the love for this one) 18. She's Electric 19. Swamp Song (a bit too long and repetitive, enjoy it every once in awhile) 20. Hey Now (This one just kind of bores the hell outta me) Im curious because I personally dont think WTSMG is that good as an album. Of the 10 "real" tracks on the album, I consider 3-4 of them to be filler, and think the bsides are far more interesting. So yea, just wanted to see how people ranked the bsides with the album tracks. Plus, it sure beats yelling at lorddontnoelmedown right?  |

Underneath the sky is one of their best by far. Can't believe its a b-side yea, it really should have taken the place of Hey Now, even those that like Hey Now have to admit that it's pretty generic. Plus, the bands never even played that song live (while many WTSMG bsides have gotten frequent spots in setlists), so they obviously dont even like it that much... Underneath the Sky has a bit of a different sound to it though, which is why itd be a great addition to the album. The retro sounding intros cool, and I love Liams voice on it. Plus the "he lives his life in a suitcase" chorus, imo, is one of Oasis' best choruses ever, which is quite an honor indeed. |

It's really hard ranking these , first 14 or so are all brilliant songs. I really don't understand why this album wasn't a couple of tracks longer (with the Swamp song exerts removed).

For me, the WTSMG album is slightly overrated. It had a great opening 4 tracks, but then tailed off miserably until Champagne Supernova.
As for the B-sides, well I like Rockin Chair and The Masterplan, but the rest are distinctly average.

All the songs are ace down to track 17 though which is pretty good going! And She's Electric works ok on the album in a "Ringo song" type way.
