I completely agree with the original post; Ain't Got Nothing is dogshit. There are no redeeming qualities whatsoever on that song (at least the demo form). Not even great production could help it cuz it's a shit, dirge-like song.
Surely, the extra 40 songs that they have recorded could have replaced that piece of dump....
Liam should only get 1 (2 tops) songs per album. 3 songs by Liam is a joke, and just detracts from the album. I'll give him credit for Songbird, as it's a great simple song, short enough not to wear out it's welcome. And LLOB is ok. But his songs should be limited on these albums...

U sound like u one of those who think wonderwall is the best song. If u dont like oasis having a rough rock'n'roll song which 100% represent how liam is, then skip the song and listen to coldplay instead. Yeah, that's EXACTLY what I sound like. Are you out of your mind? Colombia, Rock N Roll Star, BringIOD, Morning Glory, DKWIM, MBM, THT, HIABP, TUTS, MOS are amongst my fave oasis tunes, and I love TSOL so far, so brilliant point. It's called a bit of critical honesty...go ahead and paint it any which way you want. Wait... so you like 'Meaning of Soul' but hate 'Nothing On Me'? How the fuck does that make any fucking sense? is there some kind of rule that Liam must have 3 songs on an album now?? thats the only reason i can of why this song would make it...
I don't care if i'm deluding myself but i refuse to believe "Ain't Got Nothing" is this song until I have official confirmation..

DICK Please tell me you're not yet in high school, cause I just can't believe anyone over the age of 12 would declare 4-5 paragraphs a "big essay"? Then, a sweeping generalization about me that's completely inaccurate, coupled with the misuse of the word "then" to boot (locate the proper use of the word at the beginning of this sentence). Imagine people discussing oasis' music on an oasis forum. That's just fucking crazy. Lastly, a "shit thread", but you couldn't help but become a part of it? Just to make it clear for you: the crux of the "essay" had worlds less to do with one song per se, but more exactly, the resulting album because of its inclusion. Most here seemed to understand that. I love the Coldplay bashing, but don't let Supersonice read that! As for the song, it's DEF on the album, the lyrics of the demo "They got nothing on me" matches perfectly with the album title of "Aint Got Nothing" - almost word for word, and exact same meaning.... Now, I've said it before, it's more likely the worst song on the album, which means we're in fine shape - if it represented the album and/or was the best - ONLY THEN would we be fucked As it stands now, it's a 5/10 or 6/10 song, I think if it's cleaned up a bit and tweaked it could be bumped to a 6.5/10 or possibly 7/10 (streching it a bit). How about you dont start freaking out until you've actually HEARD the album version of it. And I agree, PYMWYMI is by far Oasis' worst released song to date. |

for me this song, when played quitely sounds like a bundle of noise and doesn't really do much for me, but i turned it up full blast and it is actually, really rocking, it's growing on me!
