I'm not convinced by Liams voice; he sounds just like the way he does on the DBTT demo's, which might mean that he's gonna sound the same live as in the DBTT tour. It didn't get worse, but it didn't improve either, it's just not good enough in my opinion (on the album it is, but I fear for the gigs). But we'll see. You just contradicted yourself: You said this: "Which MIGHT mean that he's gonna sound the same live as in the DBTT tour" Then you said this: "It didn't get worse, but it didn't improve either" In the first statement, you're making a prediction because you acknolwege that you don't know. In the second statement, you make an actual claim that his voice sounds the same. But if you don't know what his voice sounds like currently, how can you possible say that it hasn't gotten better or worse? One thing you're right about though - we will indeed see..... (Frankly I believe it sounds as good, if not slightly more polished/better than his album recording of Lyla....)

My two favourite songs on this video? Supersonic and The Shock Of The Lightning! Great start and finish. Nah only joking about TSOTL, I haven't heard enough but I need more! Some great moments in rock history there.
If the album is anything like the lead single its gonna be like SOTSOG getting raped by DM....FUCKING MEGA!

Damn, won't this one tune leak at the very least? Sounds absolutely brilliant!
That last bit "Come in, come out tonightttttttttt" fucking awesome!

Oh the voice the voice. Liam is 36 in September. You can't expect him to sound as he did at 21, 23 or 25. Not with the shout-singing technique, the extensive touring over more than a decade, and the smokes.

I'd like to see the look on those few who doubted Oasis earlier this summer. For the record, I never actually 'doubted' them. I never will. I simply said that Oasis would have to release something special to top Viva La Vida, and it's looking like that's what they're going to do. Now let's not make this into yet another Oasis vs Coldplay thread. The two bands aren't mutually exclusive; from the way people talk on here you'd think it was 1996 and the Britpop wars all over again. 20 seconds clip and it pisses all over Viva la Vida

"It didn't get worse, but it didn't improve either" -> I was talking about the voice on the new album, which sounds the same as it was on the DBTT demo's. That's the only thing I know for sure, and the only thing that I can say about it now, because I haven't heard the future gigs yet. That's why I said "might" when talking about the coming gigs If his voice follows the pattern of DBTT, it'll mean that we get the same sound as it was during the DBTT tour.

It would seem to me if you knew about the album you would point out that "Come In, Come Out" was written on the cover cause it was a lyric in the TSOTL. Does anyone else feel this way???

Clip sounds ace. Psyched for the song.
Liam's voice will be DBTT-esque. It's not going to go back to the way it was. It's a shame but I don't mind it, as long as they don't go OTT on the raspiness in the production (as they do in Won't Let You Down or the opening of LLAB).

Somebody asked about the tuning. It's in standard tuning with the capo on the second fret. Noel alternates between A and Am shapes (so B and Bm really). He then hits a barre chord G when Liam sings "Come in". Nothing new here.

Seems (potentially) to be the ideal first single. Enough to get hardcore fans excited about Dig Out Your Soul, enough to have onlookers curious.

Hey Oasis nuts Like the other poster said this video promo makes me very proud to be an Oasis fan and gets me very pumped for the new album. But i think there is more news to be pumped about not just the new album did anyone else notice in the video apart from me hehe that there is some new KNEBWORTH footage in there what a cool shot noel and liam together looking out of the helicopter i'v never seen this footage ever and what about noels reaction then the crowd fuckin great. I reckon we might get a box set of knebworth not 2 far away and with Warner Bros on board we might get some cool new dvd's

STC's bonus DVD had very clear, very good footage of Champagne Supernova and bonus tunes on the iTunes version of STC were 2 from Knebworth. Believe Noel said that once their old and broken up we'll get it. I'm hoping for Finsbury Park footage myself. ;D

yeah the quality on stop the clocks was amazing and the sound wow it seems to be done and dusted
it's great because they shows were captured on film and video tape and they have cut between the both which looks amazing.
I wonder when this was edited i thought more fans would have got excited about that as we have waited over 12 years
