You mean like this one? This is prolly relating to my kings of leon thread. Seeing there's only 4 "Oasis" areas: one being for "media (read: downloads)" one for "news" that is off-limits to forum member's contributions, and 2 remaining (All Around the World (media stuff) and Fact or Fiction (wildcard)- it doesn't leave members with a plethora of choices. Not complaining, just detailing, btw.  Other than my own error, I think 98% of the threads are topical, so lay off the histrionics. |

There's absolutely no need for three sub-forums. All Around The World/Fact and Fiction/Simply the best Rock n Roll band in the World should just be made into one. I mean how do you make the distinction between what's supposed to go where? It's stupid, just makes things on here harder to find.

Fact or Fiction has never lived up to it's name Why? - Because there's no section for "General Oasis Discussion" so Fact or Fiction doubles up as this too. If it appears there it has been confirmed or came straight from a legit source such as Inet blah blah blah . The facts and fiction board obviously attracts the most posters because of all the rumors on it. If you collapse everything into one board how would that make it easier to find anything....? cheers |

There's 4 oasis areas to post in.
1. Sound and Vision for media
2. All Around the World for press/Oasis appearence posts
3. Fact or Fiction: the kitchen sink
4. Simply the Best....a news area that's off-limits to member threads
Obviously that leaves 2 areas for members to post Oasis threads.
If someone doesn't determine that their thread regards an Oasis press event or appearence, its pretty obvious where the post is going to end up.
I think the problem is for some is that they think "Fact or Fiction" is relegated only to things of an "unconfirmed" nature and are hesitant to post there, although (as already noted) the sub-description pretty much alludes to the "kitchen sink" reality. Thus, they don't know where the hell to go at times.
I feel new members could find the set-up "slightly" confusing, but it can be handled quite easily with a 60 sec scan.
Perhaps some people are just looking for the johnny "All Oasis" area, which could be problematic, as The Webmeister and others have pointed out.
Generally, I think it's fine.

I think the board's description pretty much explains what you will find in a facts and fiction post: rumors - fan news - questions - opinions if anyone would like to see another keyword in there I will gladly consider, but since this is not a board for Bio Engineering I think we're fine |
