I have a feeling Coldplay is going to win, but only due to name recognition.
For me though, Weezer clinches it. Coldplay cocked up.

I haven't listened to those albums yet but my vote was based on Pork and Beans vs. Vida la viva and Violet Hills so Weezer gets it for me

Neither. Pete And The Pirates for me. there drummer is brilliant, seen them as a support band a couple of times good fun but nothing special.

so all the other bands out there count for nothing Coldplay and Weezer are the 2 biggest releases of the summer so far. Oasis, U2, Third Eye Blind are another 3 big releases that we await for this summer

I voted Weezer due to Coldplay disappointment and Weezer awsomeness. Throw The Offspring in there aswell their new song Hammerhead is mental.

Mimmi/Ross... I enjoyed Pete and the Pirates at Rock Ness. Good fun band - as were the Dykeenies.

I saw Pete and The Pirates at London Calling and yes, like you and Ross said, they're a good fun band. I'm going to see them next week again. and The Dykeenies are pretty good too. I like their "Jane". Have you heard their cover of "Twist & Shout"? PS: I'm happy that you loved The Draymin, Emmz. They're very good.

Weezer aren't that big in the UK, therefore given the choices gotta say Coldplay.

I think that Weezer is kinda big in the US but a minor band elsewhere They're not big at all in France, I hardly know their singles

Weezer aren't that big in the US. Bands live Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Sublime, Rage, Green Day, and Metallica for example blew them out of the water in the nineties. They wrote one good album (blue) and then about 5 good singles after...
