They're really being secretive about this album, which is unlike the Gallaghers
2-3months before DBTT we had the name of the album, tour dates, tracklistings, etc didnt we?
What bothers me most though is that the album is fucking complete! Release it now for fucks sakes lol
I'm still holding by my theory that Oasis KNOWS this is a special and epic album so they're treating it with extra care not to leak anything, and to build our anticipation even further before we're blown away by the monumentalness of it
Even if this theory is wrong, i still stand by my prediction that this album is going to better than DBTT, and potentially rival WTSMG
Good time to be an Oasis fan

This'd better be a good record, I'm getting pissed off with waiting.

I think the most important thing is they're still managing to find the right label, which will keep them free and at the same time push them in the States.

2005-present is clearly the best Oasis era since 94-96. Noel's passion for great writing has returned, Liam's writing improves dramatically with each record, Andy and Gem give us great songs, and Dave Sardy obviously has great chemistry with the band. LP7 is going to be incredible.

I've grown to accept that the album comes out in September. It was more painful when we first heard about the September release date when the band said it on Jonesys Jukebox. I'm still hoping on two singles before the album comes out though.
I'm super excited about this album, and I've been it since Noels comments about throwing the kitchen sink at it, and a 100 piece orchestra! And I haven't even heard the new songs!

Even Liam was quoted as saying the new music had everything thrown at it so I guess this is one thing Noel actually followed through with. I just hope they added massive production to Stop the Clocks...that song has so much potential if it's done right. And I actually wish they would leave RM as is without an orchestra and everything but I know Noel said that version isn't up for consideration.

LP7 is going to be incredible. Agreed. Ive been saying it for 3 years now, the band attitudes - especailly Noel and Liams - have changed. They're more mature. More focused. The passion is back - which was lacking with regards to SOTSOG and HC. DBTT is proof that Oasis are back to their best, and it's a clear sign that this forthcoming album is going to be amazing

I think the fact that Noel won't tell us the actual release date for fear of spoiling the release, means that they've got something special planned that is gonna surprise us all.
Just not got a clue what that might be though.

I cant understand why it's taking so long to release this album. It's been finished for ages!! By the time September comes it will be 3 years and 4 months since the release of DBTT. Too long

Puts em in a bad postion too, especially critically. A lot of un-needed pressure due to the long hiatus and people will undoubtedly be that much more apt to "dismiss" the new lp due to the 40 month wait. When you start creeping over that 2-3 yr mark people (and critics) stark getting cranky and expecting the moon. hopefully, we'll get it (the moon)!

I think most on the board here expect a very good album from the the band! I just hope that the new record live up to all the hype.

the wait for the album wont matter as oasis releases are always one of the most anticipated in the music biz,an i think wi this they might just crack it again as i think the new sound its quite commercial again along the lines of morning glory, they seem to be playing it very secretly an starting there tour stateside indicates they are targeting there again an getting themselves a big name there again and the acclaim, that will put them in worldwide musical history.i also think the wait is for a record deal
