Is it just me or it sounds like Andy is doing the guitar solo at least for the intro? Any thoughts??

How can you possibly deduce that? Andy plays the bass. Yes, I know he plays the guitar as well (not in Oasis), but what led you to this??

The way the guitar is played. Sounds nothing like Noel. It's faster and more detailed. At least from the album. Plus, it's his song anyway.

Yea I can see where you'd come up with that, but if its not Noel, I'd bet on Gem.

It could be cut and pasted from a first take he's done. I mean, it sounds very raw too. The 2nd guitar could've been added later. I don't know but I strongly bet on Andy.

sure it could be, I dont think anyone can answer this definitively though except the band unless someone was in on the session
Id bet Gem just based on the fact Andy plays the bass in Oasis, but sure, it could be Andy. Its a guess either way.

It was stated in an interview with BBC radio, when they did a track by track commentary on all the songs around the time DBBT was released, that Andy plays lead guitar on BOTH of his songs i.e. Turn Up The Sun and Keep the Dream Alive. And, if I also remember correctly, as a trade-off to Andy playing lead on his songs, Noel actually plays the bass on both.
In the DBBT documentary, Noel does say that they did switch instruments around during recording quite frequently, at one specifically stating he'd sometimes do the bass.

In the I can see it now documentary they also talk about how the band improved and any of the members didn't focused just in his instrument
