Well that seems like such a credible source I'm holding to my guns: STC AND RM will make the record. How the fuck cant they? They're mega, and they're only demos. Well the way I see it is, if they're confident enough in the 'newest, freshest' songs to leave off RM they must be pretty fuckin tonking.

I think they're good songs, but not a masterpiece album material.

hey rolli do you know whether or not record machine is gonna be on the album? i'm thinking it would make perfect sense, especially since there is a stc (tease) lyric in it any nside info? I think it would be perfect for STC to lead off the album, and RM to end with - the stc lyrics at the end brings it full circle. I don't think Noel did that as a tease, I think he did it intentionally because it encapsulates the entire album to perfection I want both STC and RM to be on it, because i rate both as 10/10, however I'd rather have RM, that song is just fuckin huge. If both are left off, I'm gonna cry, irrespective to how great the other songs are. The one bad thing about Oasis is that they fuck around with the tracklisting too much. Look at all the quality b-sides, and even unreleased songs they have that piss all over some of the average shit they put out (Hung In a Bad Place, ugh). It's SO frustrating, I hope they arent gonna cock up like that again

BTW Stop the Clocks would've fitted perfectly in DBTT.

Well I'll put it this way, Noel's a fuckin fool if he doesn't release STC Hasn't he learned yet not to leave gems off albums? - Acquiesce, and LAMB most notably...... i hate to sound argumentative, but in its current state STC is just another average noel tune. maybe if liam sings it and the production is amazing it could be something more, but right now it just isn't that great.

I think that was meant as the production to dbtt though so I doubt they will open and close the album. It's still possible though and I would love to see it happen...

people shouldn't forget these are 3 year old demos and were obviuosly recorded during the DBTT sessions. If the songs are indeed on the album it wouldn't be crazy to say they'll be different than the versions we have and I would be very happy if it turns out to be like that. They are probably aiming for a slightly different sound on the new album, never has an oasis album sounded like its predecessor and these songs have the DBTT sound and vibe.
These songs are strong, but these demos are poorly produced and recorded and the ideas are not fully developed. I'm glad to see Noel keeps writing great songs I just wish they're more adventurous in the studio cos these deserve it.
Only NOM sounds completed and even though I like the tune a lot the lyrics are piss poor and just ruin the song.

Why would he lie if he gave you the other songs, or did they come from somewhere else? If he did leak them to sell them then why did he leak the most anticipated ones?

there have been many, many time lyrics have changed. Some of the original lyrics for songs are SHOCKING. It seems as though Noel throws in whatever flows just to get the demo down, then when they actually want to put it on a record he sits down and comes up with the REAL lyrics. Noel himself has said that is how he writes songs. Melody and guitar first. Lyrics last.

stopcryingyourheartoutnews.blogspot.com/:Nothing On Me, I Wanna Live A Dream and Stop The Clocks are now all over the internet but will not be on the band’s eagerly-anticipated new album in this form. A spokesperson for the band told Mirror.co.uk that the tracks were old demos and not final versions that would appear on the album. However, from listening to these rough versions, it doesn't seem that the band have re-invented their sound to any extent - despite guitarist Noel Gallagher initially claiming the new album would be "more experimental."
