for those of you who don't know what stereo gum is it's a pretty influential indie Music Blog/ezine Stereo gum writes:The new tunes see Liam sneer ("Nothin' On Me"), Noel get sensitive ("I Wanna Live In A Dream [In My Record Machine]"), and Noel get even more sensitive ("Stop The Clocks")..... the Gallagher's have been talking up these last two tunes since September 2002 and 2001, respectively (and of course "Stop The Clocks" was the title of that greatest hits comp from 2006). You'd figure the ideas would be a little more fully developed six years later, but to paraphrase that old chestnut, you can't rush arrogance. But wait rolli to the rescue with this reply :I was pretty instrumental in these surfacing and here is the deal. none of these tracks are making the new record from what i heard. a friend of mine knows tom from kasabian stop the clocks is not even on the new record. these three tracks are from the dave sardy sessions and or death in vegas sessions that took place in 04 and early 05. another reader replies:yeah, well, i was really instrumental in noting youre a toolbag. stereogum.com/archives/three-oasis-demos-leak_009594.html |

Love the new songs, but, Im a greedy bitch I guess bc now I want songs that have NOT been heard at all, on the new lp. I mean, polished versions of what we just got in the past 24hrs, would be great too. But, New songs on the new album sits well with me.

The Sun gets laughed at and no respect for saying shit like "a friend of ____ confirmed that ____" It's not credible. I'm sorry. Again, STC almost made DBTT, so Noel must be almost pleased with it. Then he teased us by giving us the lyrics, and by naming the compilation after the song. And now it's 3 years later, I'm sure Noel made the necessary tweaks so now it's not almost ready, but done to his sanctification. My reasoning is better than your "My inside source told me" nonsense |

If they don't make it, it's only cos they have better songs to go with. You people are bad at maths, you will have double the songs.
