that's right, webby. now just imagine if this was a metallica or prince forum... why don't people just wait for the album? it's not too far away. only three and a half months. the reward will be greater than if you've heard them all before...

None of us want album leaks, we want stuff that is lost in time with no planned release date!
Obviously I still want the new album but I see no reason why we can't have both. Enough of the elite hoarding crap!

the problem is that you guys are giving them exactly what they want: attention. don't and the bastards will go away. i've been here long enough to realize that.

Well said! And if people really are that desperate to hear new stuff, I'm betting my money on Oasis previews a couple of new tunes this August in Canada. And thats merely a month away.

Hi Everyone I think its inevitable that this album is going to leak, I would be shocked if it didn't. For hardcore fans like many on live4ever its not a problem as we would download it and buy the album along with every single. There are though a large amount of people who rightly or wrongly quite like Oasis who would only download the album and then not see the point in paying £10 when they already have it. I used to be a member with a previous nickname (forgot my damm password and then realised i had changed e-mail!) and I remember back to DBTT and this site suddenly had a whole bunch of new members who were sniffing around for the new album. Just a thought... - Maybe it might be an idea to suspend new membership for a few months leading up to album release? this might make the Mods job a little easier when the album leaks?? Most existing members care about the site and would like to put it under legal threat by posting the new album openly on the forum. Will people still be able to send the album via private messages like last time? or even links to other sites? This will probably happen and further clarification might be needed maybe needed? PS Would like to say to Webby and whoever maintains the site that to keep up the good work and thanks for such a great site!

People don't wait because they don't have to on a leak. That's the point of a leak. So because the record company (who ultimately decides release dates) picks day/month for regular Joe to hear something, we should adhere to that if given the opportunity to hear it sooner? Release dates are set primarily for promotion schedules. Oasis does not need to promote anything to me. They could record an album of nursery rhymes and Id buy it.

I have a question for those against leaks. (webby I know it's for the sites safety, so thats cool). I'm having my bachelor party in Winnipeg of all places because of the show. I bought 10 floor tickets for the event. Is it wrong for me to want to hear the new songs they will be playing before I go to the show? I will do everything in my power to make sure I know every song they play that night. Too big of an investment not to.

God, no. I hate going to gigs without already knowing the songs I'm hearing.

I have 2 beliefs when it comes to downloading music for free:
1.) I'm in the US, so can't get The Twang and like minded bands here, so I see no problem getting the album for free online. Why should I pay extra for Amazon shipping? That's silly.
2.) If I get an album for free and I like it, I'll buy it. If I don't like it, I won't. Again, not my fault if an artist releases a shit album. Example: The Kooks album, Konk. Got it for free online, pretty poor and hardly listen to it, so why should I buy it? (Same with Coldplay's VLV. I'm not buying that pile of shit).
But if, for example, I get the leaked version of DYOS I'll buy it regardless to support the boys, but any album that's good i'll eventually buy because the artists deserves the credit. Don't expect me to pay if you release BS. I think that's fair.

Same goes for any profession... if you make bad, gas guzzling, unsafe cars, why would I buy them. And sticking with the car analogy, you're always allowed to test drive a car before you buy it... same goes for albums.

What a load of crap, you sound like some idiot who thinks Oasis have done Wonderwall and nothing else. Granted some of the later albums dont appeal to the bandwagon fans who jumped aboard on WTSMG but theres still exceptional songs on every album. If you think Oasis have done fuck all since 1995 why are you here ? Just to constantly have digs at the band and their fans for liking a lot of great tunes ? Jesus you sound like some teeny bopper who likes Wonderwall and slates Oasis since then.

Personally, I would have to try very hard to not download the leak, just because I really want to hear it. Like, I have my tickets for the Vancouver show, and I'd love to go there and know every single song that they're going to play. Like, if there's no new songs played I will, but obviously they're going to play new songs, because that's sort of the point of the tour, isn't it? So on one hand, it'd be wicked to go and hear the song(s) that I got from a leak, but on the other hand, it'd be so cool to be there and hear the song(s) for the first time.
Very torn.
