Yeah, ok, it's still 3 months away from the speculated album release date of August (4 months if its September), but with the album officially done, why havent the boys said ANYTHING?
I'm interested in hearing your speculation for why the the Gallaghers are keeping their mouth shut
Here's my interpretation - it's probably not true, and is indeed wishful thinking, but who knows.....
What I'm HOPING is that this album is indeed monumental, and Noel knows it. While I'm sure he thought the likes of HC and other previous albums were good, I'm certain he knew he was exaggerating when he called it best album since DM. Now we all know he's almost always gonna be full of shit when he says something like that. SOOOO, perhaps he's keeping his mouth shut so we dont have any bias before the album comes out, so we can come to the conclusion that this is Oasis's best album since the mid 90s on our own....
who knows?

I think what he's doing right now is actually pretty smart, it's driving us mad, it makes us want the album more. If we are going crazy trying to wonder how the album will sound, then we will definitely buy it right away. At least i know i will

At least i know i will i think the opposite...the way that they're keeping this so quiet is starting to piss me off... if it remains this quiet, then i'll probbably end up downloading the album first to preview it and then buy the record if it's really going to be good. If they start coming out and talking about it and talking it up then i'm going to buy it. Every time Noel has talked up a record before release i have absolutely loved the record. So him not talking this one up is a little scary. |

I think around June, we will get a title and a track listing I'd rather hope we get the album details in May though. But I'm afraid June is more realistic date to give away the album details. Maybe we'll get the first details of their first single in May though? And as for the part why they're keeping their mouth shut about the new album, I agree with Headshrinker. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: I really don't hope that Noel is gonna compare it with Definitely Maybe. He should rather say something along the lines of "It's a completely different sounding album than our previous ones, and it sounds completely fresh". |

this is def different to the last 2 album releases from what i remember with alot of what you could call believable rumours flying around. my only worry if whilest they are waiting around what if they write a few belters and decide to record some more for the album further delaying it

I think they're not not gonna reaveal anything till EVERYTHING is done... I'm mean Noel said the cd didn't have a title yet... he's probably concealing all he can because he's aware that the last two albuns surface in the net months before the release... I know this has nothing to do with sharing information about it, but it's safer to hide everything till the right moment comes...
