So, I'm listening to Oasis playing MTV Unplugged now, and I must say, what a terrific show this is!
Wouldn't it be awesome if Oasis were to play another MTV Unplugged. But this time, Liam was actually there to provide vocals. How cool would it be to hear Liam sing the new version of Wonderwall?
And think about all the awesome songs they've got since1996. Go Let It Out, Gas Panic!, Stop Crying Your Heart Out, Little By Little, Turn Up The Sun, Lyla, the list goes on and on. Imagine hearing those songs in acoustic!
I bet this would never happen though. I'm not even sure if MTV even does the Unplugged concerts anymore. And most definitely Oasis wouldn't do it. Would've been so cool if they had though.

Liam couldn't sing the new version of Wonderwall, MTV doesn't do Unplugged anymore either.
It would be great but wouldn't happen really.. from what I heard back in the 90's Liam doesn't like singing with the band playing acoustically... i'm not sure if that's changed but that's what I heard.

Yeah, I've heard that too. I don't have a clue why he doesn't like it though. I mean, his vocals are spot on when he does normally. Take Radio Aid '05, and that gig they did in the Netherlands right before the release of Don't Believe The Truth as good examples of that.

I don't need MTV Unplugged. I would be satisfied with some acoustic sessions for the new albm promo. Twelve songs including 6 from new album and 6 from all the previous album (Live Forever, DLBIA, Stand By Me, WDIAGW?, Songbird, TIOBI)

Yeah, that was the talk - Noel said this in an interview as I recall. To be honest though I think that was just something Liam said to the others as a way of trying to avoid responsibility over the massive fuck up he made of the original MTV Unplugged.

Ended up alright didn't it, though? So apparently MTV doesn't do the Unplugged stuff anymore, but I really hope Oasis will do an acoustic promo show before the album is released!
