ok even if eminem were to be the main headline act noel would've said the same thing because glastonbury has always been about bands...well mostly anyway. Totally agree with this. Remember when 'Daphne and Celeste' were at Glastonbury and got totally bottled, that was a stupid decision but they werent a big name. If Jay-Z wasnt black and was just a white rapper no one would bat an eyelid at Noels comments but they turn it into some racist crap when its not. Sadly there is racism out there but doing 'boy who cried wolf' everytime theres a comment about rap music etc doesnt mean that persons being racist. Yeah Glastonbury are trying something different but the lack of people getting tickets (normally it sells out in minutes) probably say something. If Oasis were signed to play at a big rap festival i'm sure there would be lots of negative comments there and rightly so. Glastonbury has mostly been guitar bands and dance music, yeah theyre trying something new but its a bit of a risk. I do like rap music but never been a fan of Jay-Z though

For everyone bagging hip hop think about this, most people hear some really commercial hip hop hop on the radio or on a music video and never really take the time to research and listen to the real hip hop, the good hip hop, in the same way that many hip hop fans turn on the radio and hear crappy emo or rock music, which barely resembles the good stuff which many rock fans listen too, and the hip hop fans just hag on it as well. Everyone needs to be a bit more open minded when it comes to music, i find that if i get a quality artist from any genre and i sit down and take time to listen to it, i don't necessarily like it but i can appreciate whats good about it. Like it or not hip hop has changed music forever and it is definitely not shit. If all you rock fans out there think hop hop is simple go pick up a miles Davis album and you'll see how repetitive the stuff you listen to is! ^Taken from the Herald Sun website

Jay-Z is a tosser! ...Does that make me racist? NO! I'm just stating fact! Glastonbury organizers must have been REALLY desperate this year, hence the SHIT lineup. There's your reason why they haven't sold as many tickets.

This asshole of a writing is sounding like Al Sharpton and Jessie Jackson - always playing the race card. And sounds as dumb as Kanye West did when he went against the script in the Katrina relief program and said "Bush hates black people" -- link to this humorous, but moronic clip is here:
Kanye is an idiot

haha so saying that a hip hop act doesn't belong at a guitar fest is racism? I love how people throw racism out there so easily, I have been called a racist too many times to count because I think rap is shit, on the bright side, I like that noel is stirring the pot a bit. If this was closer to the album release, I would say it would be worth a thousand more records sold How right you are
